RHONJ: Did Luis Ruelas Hire A PI To Dig Up Info On His Co-Stars?
If you're ever yearning for an 11th-hour plot twist, just turn on a "Real Housewives" finale. While the opinionated cast members spend all season overspending, bickering, and saying things that they can never take back, the finales come second only to the reunions as far as dramatics go. The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" cast has weathered some of the most memorable moments of all of their "Housewives" peers. 13 years in, there's no need to wonder if the cast members could ever top their previous year's efforts because they did that and so much more.
After an entire season of Melisa Gorga and Teresa Giudice's feud sucking the air out of the room, the finale episode involved a twist that not many "Housewives" franchises can say they've endured: the inclusion of a private investigator amid the turmoil. Sure, various cast members have conducted Google searches on their frenemies in an effort to have a little ammunition to launch over cocktails, but Teresa Giudice's hubby, Luis Ruelas made a shocking claim that may change his relationship with his castmates (and possibly the show) forever.
Luis Ruelas' P.I. claims are giving fans whiplash
On Tuesday's episode of "RHONJ," Luis Ruelas revealed during a cast-wide argument that he'd enlisted the services of a private investigator to collect secrets about "everybody in this room" (via In Touch Weekly). He continued, "I'm not talking, like, gossip. Like, Bo Dietl, who's, like, one of the most famous private investigators in the country, one of my best friends, brought me information on each person in this group. There's so much more."
However, Ruelas has since denied paying Deitl to snoop on his cast members. While appearing on "Watch What Happens Live" with Teresa Giudice, Ruelas revealed his reason for throwing Dietl in his castmates' faces. "I was at the end of my rope," said Ruelas during the interview. "It was a long season. Frustrating, you know, trying to get married." Ruelas' comment came a few minutes after wife Teresa Giudice seemingly backed his snooping ways. After Andy Cohen asked Giudice, "Can you defend Louie allowing his friend Bo Dietl to dig up dirt on everyone in your group?" she replied, "Yes." And as Page Six pointed out, she then denied any wrongdoing on his part. "Why would he waste his money?" asked Giudice. "He did say it because he was frustrated. Did you see what they were putting him through?"
Seems like the husband and wife didn't coordinate their responses beforehand.
Bo Dietl says he didn't snoop on anyone
Like Taylor Swift once proclaimed, Bo Dietl would "like to be excluded from this narrative." Dietl, whose Instagram bio reads, "One Tough Cop. Retired NYPD detective, Entrepreneur, Media Personality. Acted with DeNiro & Pacino in The Irishman. Arrested Henry Hill in Goodfellas," has stated his side amid all of the drama.
"The fact is, look, I know Louie and Teresa, I've known 'em for a long time, over the years," Dietl shared with ET. "I've known them very well, I've been to their home for their housewarming of their home ... I like Louie and I like Teresa. Now, all of a sudden, he gets into a beef with his brother-in-law, and the next thing he opens his mouth, and the brother-in-law knows he knows me, so what is he gonna say? 'I got the most famous private investigator — I got dirt on every one of yous.' It was all bologna and it never happened." Dietl also offered further motive on Ruelas' part. "I said, 'Lou, why would you say that?'" added Deitl. "'Oh, I wanted to let them think that I got you in my pocket, Bo, and they got to be careful.'" He continued, "No, you don't use me like a pocket watch. You hire me. I do incredible investigations. You want security, you want investigation? That's why I'm around for 38 years."
