RHOA: What Happened To Kim Zolciak-Biermann's Ex Lee 'Big Poppa' Najjar?

With the news that former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kim Zolciak has called it quits with Kroy Biermann after 11 years of marriage, fans were left wondering if they should brace themselves for a blast from the past. Because, back in the halcyon days of "RHOA" before all the wig and weave yanking and being "Tardy For the Party" started, there was a mystery benefactor in Zolciak's sphere.

He was clandestine, super wealthy, and married with two kids. Zolciak referred to her secret sugar daddy as "Big Poppa" and initially attempted to hide his identity from her castmates. However, Zolciak ranks at the bottom regarding the list of Real Housewives who managed to keep their relationships secret. Plus, when you add NeNe Leakes into the mix, you know no stone will be left unturned. Although viewers never learned his real name or got to see him in person — that probably wouldn't have gone down too well with his family at home — Big Poppa was a frequent fixture during the first two seasons of "RHOA."

Yahoo! reports that Big Poppa bankrolled Zolciak's luxurious lifestyle. He paid for her townhouse and bought her a sweet, sweet ride — a white Range Rover, no less. Big Poppa even got down on one knee and proposed to Zolciak with a giant sparkler. She said yes, of course. So, whatever happened to Kim Zolciak-Biermann's ex Lee 'Big Poppa' Najjar? Is he going to resurface, like Zolciak in the Season 15 trailer?

Big Poppa's camera debut

Kim Zolciak-Biermann's ex Lee 'Big Poppa' Najjar, was an enigma to "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" fans. According to Life & Style, the multi-millionaire owns an über successful real estate company and lives in a $25 million mansion in Buckhead, Georgia. When Najjar asked Zolciak to marry him, she didn't hesitate. However, there was a slight bump in her road to happiness — Najjar's existing wife and their two children. Life & Style reports that she's also called Kim, and judging by his Instagram (now set to private), they appear very happy together, despite him repeatedly assuring Zolciak they were mid-divorce.

A discussion about Big Poppa resulted in one of the all-time most memorable moments from "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" as NeNe Leakes and Zolciak went at it during the Season One reunion show. "Close your legs to married men," Leakes yelled at Zolciak. "Close your legs to married men." She branded Zolciak a "trash bot" and repeatedly insisted, "he is NOT getting a divorce" And yep, sure enough, she was spot on.

Fans had to wait until 2012 to finally see Najjar's face. Unfortunately for him, though, it was thanks to a mug shot. E! Online reported that Fulton County PD circulated the pic to the media. According to the Straight From the A (via E!), Najjar was booked for failing to appear in court to answer charges of "avoiding several banks seeking to recover their assets."

When she's done, she's done

Now that Kim Zolciak-Biermann is single and ready to mingle again and in serious financial hot water, you've got to wonder if her married former sugar daddy, Lee 'Big Poppa' Najjar, will return to the scene. Zolciak has sworn no way, but then she said that about "Real Housewives of Atlanta."

Najjar had insisted that he was divorcing his wife — which was clearly news to Kim Najjar — and Zolciak was flashing a massive sparkler during Season 2 of the reality show. Still, it didn't take long for her to uncover his web of lies. Cue multiple eye rolls and "I told you so" snipes from NeNe Leakes. "We're on an off right now. The show has definitely taken a toll on our relationship too, so we will see what happens," Zolciak told Essence when they initially split. However, it was a different story by Season 3 when she discovered he had no intention of leaving Kim point one.

"Who gives someone a massive rock and makes this commitment if he wasn't serious?" Zolciak asked Essence in a later interview (via Straight From the A). "I found out that I was still on the same merry-go-round. ... I gave Poppa almost four years of my life, so now I'm just trying to move on." She vowed she would never reunite with him. "When I'm done, I am done," Zolciak insisted. "I have no desire to have anything further with him."
