Lucy Hale And Riley Smith Call It Quits
Lucy Hale and Riley Smith's romance is over.
Entertainment Tonight reports that the Pretty Little Liars actress and her former Life Sentence co-star have broken up. A source told the celebrity news site that "both have moved on." It'd appear that their busy work schedules may have had something to do with their split, as Smith will reportedly soon be moving to Chicago to work on a new TV series called Proven Innocent. He'll also be working on a new album.
The pair had first been romantically linked in February 2018, when Hale and Smith got Valentine's Day dinner together (via Us Weekly). Smith also reportedly got Hale flowers for the occasion. More recently, Hale and Smith had been spotted vacationing together in Hawaii in May 2018, shortly after their show, Life Sentence, was canceled.
Lucy Hale's fans had suspected that the two had called it quits on their relationship after Hale was caught by the paparazzi holding hands with actor Ryan Rottman (via E! News). However, at the time of this writing, neither star has confirmed a relationship.
Prior to dating Smith, Hale had dated musician Anthony Kalabretta.
Hale and Smith are just one of many celebrity couples who have split in recent weeks. On Tuesday, July 3, 2018, singer Halsey revealed that she and rapper G-Eazy had broken up after dating for over a year. "I normally keep this kind of thing private but provided our public nature I feel the need to inform my fans," she shared. "G-Eazy and I are taking some time apart."
As Nicki Swift previously reported, former One Direction member Liam Payne also announced his separation from Cheryl Cole, with whom he shares son Bear, on July 1 — just one day after Cole's 35th birthday. "Cheryl and I are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways," he told his Twitter followers. "It's been a tough decision for us to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family."
