RHOC: What Happened To Jeana Keough's Son, Shane?
When it comes to iconic reality TV shows, nothing has become such a pop culture phenomenon as the ongoing "The Real Housewives" franchise. Over the last 16 years, fans have followed the privileged lives of high-society women around the world as they navigate messy friendships, complicated family dynamics, and career aspirations. While many "housewives" have gone on to gain notoriety with viewers, some of the attention has also gone to their children. One "Real Housewives" kid that made waves during his time on the show was Shane Keough, the son of RHOC alum Jeana Keough.
In the show's first season, the former reality TV star was fresh out of high school and pursuing his dreams of becoming a major league baseball player, like his father, Matt Keough. As his time on the series progressed, viewers began to see the rough dynamic Shane shared with his family, specifically his mother. When reflecting on his "Real Housewives" journey, the "Naked Dragon" star told The Guardian: "I was a punk who thought he was cool. I came from a family of actors and athletes and had yet to be humbled by real life." He also added that his experience on the show helped him grow into a better person. "I learned from the show," he added. Since leaving "The Real Housewives of Orange County," Shane has shifted his focus to non-entertainment ventures. Join us as we take a look into his life post "Real Housewives."
Shane Keough is a business owner and real estate agent
After saying goodbye to "The Real Housewives" franchise in 2009, Shane Keough stepped away from the reality TV sphere and into the environmental market. In 2018, the former minor league baseball player founded WeGoFor2, which is described as a "sustainable agency." In an interview with speaker and coach Libby Gill, Shane gave further insight into how the company came to be and what its name stands for. "WeGoFor2 was my nod to my past in sports, but also for the future of the health of our planet," he explained. "Within sports, going for two is going that little bit extra, putting in a little bit more, you got to do one more set. A little bit extra to try to push the envelope wherein sustainability and environmental work, that two degrees Celsius is important."
Since creating WeGoFor2, the company has made waves for combating California's ongoing drought crisis with its partnership with Rain Systems. In addition to being the CEO of his own sustainability agency, Shane is also involved in the Florida real estate market. Since 2021, the former reality TV star has worked alongside his brother-in-law and former NFL player Kyle Bosworth for Compass Real Estate. In an interview with Bravo, Shane's mother and "Real Housewives" alum Jeana Keough gushed about her son's thriving real estate career in Florida, stating, "He's doing really well. He loves Florida. He likes the quietness of it."
Shane Keough is now a family man
Aside from his successful professional endeavors, Shane Keough has created a harmonious personal life. In September 2022, the former "Real Housewives of Orange County" star got engaged to his partner Francheska. "Best Birthday present ever! I can't wait for [Francheska] to be Mrs Keough. I am so happy we got to share this moment with our families," Shane wrote on Instagram at the time. While the exact start date of their relationship is unknown, the pair first met after Shane's mother, Jeana Keough, and his sister, Kara Bosworth, insisted Francheska meet the former Minor League Baseball player following a workout class. "After the class, of course, [I] Instagram stalked him and decided to follow him," the couple revealed on their The Knot page. "I saw later in my Direct messages on Instagram that he commented on my story."
Two months after getting engaged, the happy couple tied the knot in a small intimate wedding in Jacksonville, Florida. "I am so happy for Shane and Francheska," Jeana wrote on Instagram alongside a group shot of the wedding. In addition to being a newlywed, Shane is also gearing up for fatherhood. On April 15, the WeGoFor2 CEO took to Instagram and announced the forthcoming arrival of their first child. "Keough family grows by one October 2023 @flkeough," his caption said. In an additional post, Shane revealed the bundle of joy is going to be a baby girl, writing: "We can't wait to meet you."
