Sam Smith Hints At Brandon Flynn Breakup During Concert
Sam Smith has a message for his fans.
On Wednesday evening, June 27, 2018, the "One Last Song" singer seemed to hint at his rumored breakup with Brandon Flynn during the Barclays Center stop of his international The Thrill of It All tour in Brooklyn, N.Y.
"I know that everyone in this room right now is going through some s**t," he told the crowd at the top of the show (via E! News). "I know I'm going through some s**t. And tonight I want all of us to just leave all of our worries and all of our heartache aside and let's have some fun. Let's sing as loud as we can."
As Nicki Swift previously reported, reports that Smith, 26, and Flynn, 24, had split after nine months of dating first broke just hours before the "I'm Not The Only One" hitmaker took to the stage. "Sam and Brandon had a real whirlwind romance," a source told The Sun at the time. "They really fell for each other. But they are both so busy with their careers and unfortunately things just haven't worked out."
The insider added, "Sam is obviously devastated. This is the most significant relationship he has ever had. Thankfully he is on tour across the US at the moment which has been a welcome distraction."
The former couple were first romantically linked after being spotted holding hands and kissing in New York City's Greenwich Village in October 2017. Shortly after, Smith confirmed that he was in a relationship on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, but didn't name names. However, they made their rumored romance Instagram official in December.
While Smith has reportedly deleted a number of photos of the pair from his Instagram, neither he nor the 13 Reasons Why star have confirmed their alleged breakup.
Sadly, these two are not the only high-profile couple to head toward Splitsville this year. Recent celeb breakups include the likes of Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan, and Real Housewives of Orange County alums Alexis and Jim Bellino.
