RHOA: What Todd Tucker's Oldest Daughter Kaela Is Doing Today

Todd Tucker and his wife, "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kandi Burruss, have two biological children: Ace and Blaze Tucker. However, Todd and Kandi each brought a daughter with them into their eventual marriage. Riley Burrus is Kandi's daughter. Todd's daughter is Kaela Tucker. Bravo fans are likely more familiar with Riley's journey than Kaela's, given that Kandi heavily featured her on "RHOA," where she's been a main peach holder since Season two. Meanwhile, Todd didn't join the franchise until two years later, when he traded in his producer hat for a supporting role as Kandi's boyfriend. 

Even then, Kaela split her time between Atlanta, where the show was filmed, and her hometown of New Jersey. When Kaela was on camera, she never exuded the same interest in showcasing her life. And while it could've just been camera shyness, it's possible that Kaela's relationship with Todd impacted her enthusiasm. As Todd revealed on "RHOA," he didn't learn of Kaela's existence until several years after her birth. After they connected, his reluctance to afford Kaela the same privileges Riley enjoyed proved to be a sensitive topic. "There are definitely times where I want to give Kaela a little bit more, but Todd will say, 'No, because she's in her 20s,'" Kandi shared during an episode (via Madame Noire). Still, Kaela's proved that she can accomplish things on her own. Here's what she's up to today.

Kaela Tucker may not have been featured quite as frequently on "RHOA" as her family, but she still made a splash in her own way. During Season 12, Kaela revealed on camera that she wanted to move to New York and attend fashion school. "I feel like I'll be able to meet more people, be around people that are in [fashion]," Kaela shared (via Bravo). During a previous episode, Todd Tucker spoke about Kaela's desire to eventually own her own clothing store. In 2020, Kaela actually announced in a since-deleted Instagram post that her store was coming to fruition, though it doesn't appear active today. Still, Kaela has much to be proud of.  

In July 2022, Kaela graduated from fashion school, prompting a celebratory post from her stepmom, Kandi. "Our baby girl @kpt__ graduated from @misahylton's @misahyltonfashionacademy today! We're proud of you @kpt__ !!!! Keep winning!!!!" Kandi wrote on Instagram. At the present time, it's unknown just what route Kaela will go with her fashion degree. However, she's already got quite the head start in the marketing department, boasting over 250,000 Instagram followers, who enjoy keeping up with her trendy, colorful outfits.

Kaela Tucker's relationship with her father hasn't always been the best. Oddly, Kaela isn't too miffed about Todd Tucker's lack of financial support. In fact, Kaela even defended her father's ability to provide for her growing up. "We had a cool lifestyle. I lived in a penthouse in New Jersey," Kaela shared during an episode of "Speak On It." What has bothered Kaela, however, was the way her father approached their relationship. During Season 14, Episode 12, Kaela expressed her disappointment about Todd's lack of affection. He replied, "I'm trying to make you tough, kid." 

Fortunately, Todd and Kaela have a much better relationship today. At times, it appeared as if they were a little too comfortable with each other. In 2019, Todd proudly posted about joining Kaela at the strip club and held firm when people naturally found it a little ... strange. "Me and my daughter been to the strip club before — we've been to Magic City, ain't no big deal," Todd shared to TMZ. "Me and my mom even went to the strip club before. It's in our genes." Alternatively, it doesn't appear that Kaela and Riley Burruss — who are six years apart — have developed much more than a shallow bond, even though they both now live in New York. Oh, well. Maybe things will change in the future
