Luke Cage Star Mike Colter, Wife Iva Expecting Second Child Together

Mike Colter is expanding his family!

On Thursday, June 21, 2018, the Marvel actor and his Netflix executive wife, Iva Colter, announced that they are expecting baby no. 2, a daughter.

"We are feeling happy but a bit nervous as well," the married pair released in a statement to People, revealing that Iva is six months along in her pregnancy. "It's a new member of the family." Mike, 41, and Iva, 43, who are already parents to 3-year-old daughter Naiella, continued, "While it will shift focus for us again, our daughter Niles will probably be affected the most, so we are making sure she feels comfortable and excited with the change to our growing family."

But the Luke Cage star isn't the only actor in the Marvel universe who's expecting a new family member. As Nicki Swift previously reported, Josh Brolin's wife, Kathryn, is pregnant with the couple's first child together, a baby girl. The movie star, who most recently reprised his role of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, revealed the news on Instagram in late May 2018. 

"There's a new sheriff in town, and she's no bigger than a sweet potato. Hang on to your hats," he captioned a snapshot of his wife of nearly two years showing off her belly. "#jbkbstucktogether #lilbeanterritory #loveisaslovedoes."

As for the Colters, the couple couldn't have looked more thrilled while walking the red carpet together on Thursday at the season two premiere of Luke Cage in New York City, where Iva debuted her growing baby bump.
