Are Gary King And Colin McRae From Below Deck Sailing Yacht Still Friends?

"Below Deck: Sailing Yacht" is the second spinoff in Bravo's popular "Below Deck" multi-verse. "Sailing Yacht" follows a crew who juggles running a luxury yacht while managing their wild personal lives. Its newest season is still in the early phases, but the trailer forewarns a collection of dramatic storylines. Captain Glenn Shephard is focused on business first and foremost. "I just want to remind everybody that super yachting is not about the 95%, it's about the last five percent," he said on the trailer. "And we should always be pushing for that last five percent."

However, the crew seems to be too busy worrying about securing their next hookup. Gary King and Colin McRae, who have been close friends since they joined Season 2 of the show, also appear to veer off course on the trailer. Previous years saw the pair's friendship flourish as they bonded over their fun, carefree lives. And they can laugh with the other two. During a 2021 appearance on "Watch What Happens Live" McRae dished on King's long hair, but joked that he loved King's "manly arms." He also complained about the state of their "bromance" after discussing King's lie about hooking up with Sydney Zaruba. This time, however, new alliances and romantic affiliations could threaten King and McRae's previously indestructible bond.

A love triangle with Daisy Kelliher will put their friendship to the test

Season 4 of "Below Deck" is barely off to a start, but there's already plenty of glorious cast drama to speculate over. For instance, Gary King and Colin McRae's friendship becomes tested when McRae hooks up with Daisy Kelliher. If you recall, King and Kelliher previously made out in that infamous hot tub scene and have continued to encourage fans into thinking they've dated. The most recent season of "Below Deck" saw McRae join this equation.

On the trailer, Kelliher and McRae can be seen making out in various spots on the yacht. Eventually, King asks Kelliher, "Did you guys hook up last night?" before insinuating that she was using McRae as a revenge tactic. He also confronts McRae about any possible feelings he might have for Kelliher. And though this drama has yet to air, the cast has taken their onscreen theatrics into the real world. When speaking with Us Weekly, Kelliher laughed about King's thoughts about her dalliance with McRae. "I definitely feel like he was jealous," said the reality star. "I think the boys — at times it did feel like I was a trophy prize [for them]. I could be completely wrong but [the way they acted felt a] bit like an ego thing going on between the two of them."

So far, Gary King and Colin McRae appear to be okay

Even though love triangles usually end with severed bonds between friends, that may not be the case here. Although "Below Deck: Sailing Yacht" just started airing its fourth season, the events were filmed months in advance. And though the cast will have to relive their choices over the coming weeks, it appears that Gary King has already put any possible tension behind him. Speaking to Us Weekly, King confirmed Daisy Kelliher's jealous speculation. "That was my first impression of it," shared King. "But then I came to find out that there were feelings involved. So the best thing that I could do is just be supportive of them." He continued, "And as a friend — if another girl chooses someone else over me — I've just gotta be supportive of it."

If that's not enough to convince you that King and Colin McRae are good, their newest interview with Bravo may make you a believer. In early April (presumably months after the most recent season) King and McRae played a fun game called, "Know Your Bro," which exuded the same easy-going charm that their fans fell in love with.
