Vanderpump Rules Stars Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright Are Engaged

Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright are engaged!

On Thursday evening, June 7, 2018, the Vanderpump Rules stars announced their engagement on social media.

"Omg omg!!!!!!!! We are ENGAGED!" Cartwright wrote on Instagram, captioning a snapshot of her new fiancé smiling in the background while she showed off her gorgeous ring. "What a way to start our summer and season 7!! I am so happy, so in love, and so beyond excited for this next chapter of our lives! I can't wait for all of you to see how he proposed! I am the happiest girl ever right now. 💝👑 love can win 💝💝 #PumpRules thank you @kylechandesign this ring is gorgeous!!!"

Meanwhile, Taylor shared the same photo, writing, "She said yes!!! I can't wait for y'all to see how this happened next season!!! I am marrying the woman of my dreams and I could not be happier!! 💍 make sure y'all tune in season 7 to see how this unfolded."

"My amazing friend/brother @kylechandesign knocked it out of the park on this ring," he added, sharing some details about his romantic proposal. "I told him a few details but I trusted him and as you can see he came through above and beyond. When I decided to do this he was the only one I wanted to design Brittany's ring and this is why.. flawless Kyle absolutely flawless. Also thank you Margaret owner of @Neptunesnet for allowing me to make this special day possible at one of our favorite spots to eat in Malibu."

The exciting engagement news follows an infamously difficult year in the on-and-off couple's relationship. After Taylor, 38, and Cartwright, 29, first got together in 2015, their romance was rocked by Taylor's cheating scandal in May 2017. A few months later, he broke up with her during a season 6 episode of Vanderpump Rules. However, by December of last year, the two seemed to be working things out.

"It's so crazy that 3 years ago I met Jax in Vegas. Never would I have imagined my life to be like it is today," Cartwright, who recently opened up about undergoing plastic surgery procedures, tweeted in early May 2018. "We def. have our ups & downs, but today we are happier than ever. I know people are skeptical & think I'm cray for sticking around but I know I did the right thing for me."

A few weeks earlier, Taylor had tweeted, "I am not perfect and I will never be but I am working very hard on myself." He added, "I realized later that @BNCartwright is my angel and she makes me want to be a better man."
