Why Kaley Cuoco Has No Plans To Get Married To Boyfriend Tom Pelphrey
With two marriages that ended in divorce under her belt, Kaley Cuoco has vowed that she will never get married again. Like most relationships in Hollywood, Cuoco's romances have played out in the public eye — for better or for worse. The actor and tennis star Ryan Sweeting met in 2013 and the same year, they got engaged after dating for just three months. The pair remained married for only 21 months before calling it quits. Cuoco and Sweeting's decision to split was mutual and court documents listed "irreconcilable differences" as the catalyst.
Only a few years later, Cuoco began dating equestrian Karl Cook in 2016 and they tied the knot in 2018. Cuoco and Cook remained married for three years but in 2021, they opted to go their separate ways. "Despite a deep love and respect for one another, we have realized that our current paths have taken us in opposite directions," they said in a joint statement, per People.
In 2022, Cuoco met "Ozark" star Tom Pelphrey and the pair hit it off in no time. In an interview with USA Today, Cuoco revealed how they met. "We have the same manager [Andrea Pett-Joseph], and we were set up by [her], which is so Hollywood," she shared. "She's like, 'Oh my God, I think you guys are perfect for each other.'" Cuoco called the meeting "love at first sight" — but that still doesn't mean wedding bells are in their future.
Kaley Cuoco doesn't mince words when discussing her dislike of marriage
First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a baby in a baby carriage. Well, that may be the case for some couples but likely not with Kaley Cuoco and her boyfriend, Tom Pelphrey. The "Big Bang Theory" star has not been shy about her stance on marriage. After her split from her second husband, Karl Cook, Cuoco vowed never to walk down the aisle again. "I will never get married again. I would love to have a long-lasting relationship or a partnership. But I will never get married again. Absolutely not," the actor told Glamour in 2022. "You can literally put that on the cover."
However, Cuoco didn't deny that she has had "incredible relationships, and she still believes in that crazy little thing called love. "I like being someone's partner and having that companionship," she told the outlet. "The minute that I agree to let it go, someone else magical comes into my life. So I do believe there is someone out there."
Mind you, she gave this interview prior to linking up with Tom Pelphrey. And, as of this writing, the pair's relationship seems to be going swimmingly, including taking on the new roles of "Mom and Dad."
Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey are parents!
While Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey may not be walking down the aisle anytime soon, that has not stopped them from expanding their family. On October 11, 2022, Cuoco shared the sweet news that she and Pelphrey were expecting their first child together. The star's Instagram post included a series of images, including one of herself and Pelphrey posing with a slice of cake with pink frosting in the middle to reveal the sex of the baby. "Baby girl Pelphrey coming 2023 ... beyond blessed and over the moon... I [love] you," the actor wrote in the caption.
After sharing the pregnancy news publicly, Cuoco regularly showcased her growing baby bump, whether she was attending a red-carpet event or just posing for a super sweet photo. In April 2023, Cuoco told fans that their little bundle of joy had finally arrived. "Introducing Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, the new light of our lives! We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle," she wrote in the sweet Instagram upload. She also told Pelphrey, "[I] didn't think I could fall even more in love with you, but I did." How sweet is that?
Despite her comments on marriage, Cuoco and Pelphrey have been rocking matching rings but maybe they're just promise rings? The new mom did seem pretty adamant she won't marry again — but never say never!
