Gisele Bündchen And Tom Brady's Wedding Day Didn't Go Off Without A Hitch

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen were one of the most picture-perfect super-couples. Brady and Bündchen met on a blind date in December 2006. It was zing boom! love at first sight. "You know, when I saw those kind eyes, I literally fell in love right away," Bündchen told Jimmy Fallon. The aesthetically pleasing pair said "I do" in an intimate 2009 Santa Monica wedding in front of close friends and family. Vogue France reports that they'd arranged the whole kaboodle ten days before, which is no easy feat.

The reception was a simple backyard BBQ and the bride was blushing and barefoot. In her memoir, "My Path to a Meaningful Life," Bündchen explains she and Brady began their marriage as they planned to continue. "We started to dance," she wrote. "We are still dancing and growing through the ups and downs of life." They were the dream couple that would always be together — until they stopped dancing.

Fans were stunned to learn Brady and Bündchen's marriage was done for good. "We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time we spent together," Brady announced (via SI). In hindsight, it wasn't that surprising. If you were looking, there were plenty of red flags that Brady and Bündchen's marriage was always doomed. In fact, it was doomed from the moment they decided to do it all again, as Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady's second wedding day didn't go off without a hitch.

Wedding shootouts don't exactly scream love

Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady decided to do it all again in Costa Rica. There was a three-day run-up packed with celebrations — not a barefoot or backyard BBQ in sight. According to a source speaking with People, Bündchen rocked a figure-hugging dress with a 10-ft trailing veil. They said their sunset vows in front of friends, NFL teammates, supermodels, and a slew of very heavily armed security guards. It was the latter who managed to steal the bride and groom's thunder.

"The day's for you," Brady told People. "It's nothing personal against anybody, but it's not about them. It's about what you and your wife need for that day." Well, if they needed two dead photographers, Brady and Bündchen nearly fulfilled all their wishes. Per the New York Post, before the official wedding photoshoot started, an unofficial shootout occurred as two security guards shot at paparazzi standing on the grounds of a neighboring property — with the owner's consent.

Thankfully, nobody was killed, but the snappers' SUV was bullet-riddled and shattered. "Thank God I'm all right. At that moment, I thought I was going to die," one of the paps said. "If the bullet had been a little more to the left or right, it would have killed one of us." Nothing spells romance like a gunfight at the Costa Rican corral. In 2013, the two shooters were sentenced to five years and hit with $10,000 fines.

The two have moved on

Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady's second wedding almost became a crime scene. However, Bündchen insisted she didn't even know about the near-fatal incident. "We were all there, and nobody heard anything," she told People. "The next day, people were calling, and I'm like, 'I don't know what you're talking about.' I didn't even know it was happening. Later on, I was like, 'What? What happened on my day?'" She said the photographers were probably just trying to make a quick buck because they hadn't gotten any pics.

Meanwhile, in the end, it was Bündchen and Brady's marriage that proved fatal (metaphorically speaking, of course). The now-divorced couple has both moved on to pastures anew. Bündchen's rumored new flame is buddies with Brady. However, they'll unlikely be invited to any backyard BBQs at the NFL player's house anytime soon. "Gisele has been spending time with Jeffrey Soffer," a source told the Daily Mail. "[Gisele and Jeffrey have] been seeing each other for several months now and meet secretly about once a week."

In a separate report, the outlet noted that Brady was spotted with his daughter Vivian enjoying a pizza date with Soffer — who was previously married to Elle MacPherson — just before news broke that he and Bündchen were romantically linked. As for Brady? He's rumored to be hooking up with swimsuit model Veronika Rajek. Although, as The Sports Rush notes, it appears to be Rajek who is fanning the romance gossip with endless cryptic Instagram posts. Brady's remained schtum.
