Will Anna Camp Ever Get Married Again After Her Divorce From Skylar Astin?
When Anna Camp and Skylar Astin met on the set of "Pitch Perfect" in 2011, their chemistry was instantaneous. "We were friends first and just hit it off," Camp told Glamour in 2014. "He's just so great, and he's a Libra too. We didn't really have a scene together, but he's just such a fun guy." Camp had just divorced from her husband Michael Mosley when she and Astin began dating in 2013. Despite the age gap — Camp is five years older than Astin — the two worked out great, and soon married in a gorgeous outdoor ceremony in California in September 2016. A start to a happily-ever-after... or so it seemed. In April 2019, Camp and Astin announced that they were separating after nearly three years of marriage. "We can confirm that we have decided to separate, and this decision was made mutually and amicably," the pair said in a joint statement to People.
Opening up months later about her life post-divorce, Camp said the experience had been scary, but liberating. "I feel more me than I ever, ever have," the "Perfect Harmony" star mused. "It's a vulnerable place to be, but it's also really empowering." She also said of the divorce, "I've learned that you can go through a life change and remain positive and remain kind and friendly. Things happen for a reason." Having gone through two high-profile divorces, has Camp's views on marriage changed? What does she say about getting married again in the future?
Anna Camp is leaving things to chance
In 2020, less than a year after her split from Skylar Astin, Anna Camp introduced a new love in her life: Michael Johnson, a musician and former drummer of the Los Angeles-based band New Beat Fund. Camp confirmed their romance with a photo of her and Johnson during a mid-week trip to Joshua Tree National Park in California. "In the middle of nowhere with no one I'd rather be with," she wrote in a March 24 Instagram post. Later, the "Pitch Perfect" star opened up to Entertainment Tonight about her new boyfriend, saying Johnson isn't just a talented musician, but also a surprisingly good chef. "He's an amazing cook. I will say that," the actor said. She also talked about finding love amid the COVID-19 pandemic. "I am very lucky to have found someone and thankful that we're doing well amidst all of this insanity that's going on in the world right now," said Camp.
Speaking of her love life, Camp was asked whether she sees herself getting married again at some point in the future. "No idea," she confessed. However, Camp stressed that she isn't closing her doors to any possibilities. "Life is short. You don't know what could happen," she said. "So I'm not saying yes or no." In any case, it's obvious that she is happy in her current relationship with Johnson — the two have been together for almost three years now and are as strong as ever.
Skylar Astin moved on, too
It wasn't just Anna Camp who found love after their divorce — Skylar Astin also moved on with his romance with entrepreneur Lisa Stelly, the ex-wife of reality star (and son of Ozzy and Sharon) Jack Osbourne. Stelly confirmed her relationship with Astin by sharing a sweet kissing snap of the couple on Instagram in July 2020, per People. After several media outlets simply referred to Stelly as "Jack Osbourne's ex-wife," Astin took to Twitter to defend his girlfriend's honor. "I am dating FOUNDER, ENTREPRENEUR, MOTHER, CCO, etc, Lisa Stelly," Astin wrote. "Treat your ladies better, media!"
In March 2021, the "So Help Me Todd" actor also professed his love for Stelly in a sweet Instagram post celebrating her 35th birthday. "Happy Birthday to my Pisces Princess and Sprinkle Queen, @lisastelly! I love you with all my heart and will share sweatshirts with you forever," he said according to Page Six. Unfortunately, the two would call it quits just months later. A source confirmed their split to People in September 2021, saying the pair had been occupied with their respective careers and needed time to "recalibrate on their own." That said, there was reportedly no drama between them, and Astin and Stelly remain on friendly terms. "They still love and support each other a lot," the source said, adding, "It's definitely hard for both of them."
