Taraji P. Henson Engaged To Former NFL Pro Kelvin Hayden

Taraji P. Henson shared some big news early on Monday, May 14, 2018.

The Hidden Figures star posted a photo on Instagram, showing her and boyfriend Kelvin Hayden's hands ... and a sparkly new ring on her finger! The picture also shows a dessert plate that has "Congratulations" written on it in chocolate sauce. In the post's caption, Henson wrote, "I said yes y'all!!! He started with the Cartier love bracelet BUT that was my #Mothersday gift and then he dropped to his knee and I almost passed out!!!"

She continued, "#sheisofficiallyoffthemarket and she is sooooooooooooo HAPPY!!!!!!"

A day earlier, Henson had shared a photo showing off her and Hayden's new matching Cartier bracelets. She wrote, "#ForeverKindaLove."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Henson confirmed her relationship with the former NFL star back in December 2017. On Essence's podcast Yes, Girl, she replied to questions about her rumored romance with, "I'm happy in my personal life. Finally it has happened to me!"

The Empire actress continued, "You know, I'm not the type to blast my personal business, but you know, I think that it's important for people to know that I'm happy. I'm very very happy. I just am." Henson also noted, "We've been together for two years. And no one would really know that because I don't blast my info like that but I'm very happy."

Henson had previously been spotted with Hayden in December 2016 when the two vacationed together in Miami.
