Queer Eye Star Karamo Brown Is Engaged
Karamo Brown is getting hitched!
On Wednesday, May 9, 2018, the Queer Eye culture expert proposed to his longtime boyfriend, director Ian Jordan, Entertainment Tonight reports.
That evening, Brown threw a surprise 40th birthday party for his partner of eight years, which was held at the SBE Hyde Sunset bar and restaurant in Los Angeles. After playing a sweet video in honor of his soon-to-be-fiancé, the 37-year-old got down on one knee to pop the question.
"You are the funniest man I know, the kindest man, my biggest cheerleader," he said with tears in his eyes. "You made me feel like I could do anything." According to E! News, Brown went on to say, "I hope we can conquer the world together for the rest of our lives. Ian Lamont Jordan, will you marry me?"
To make the romantic occasion even more special, Brown and Jordan's families, as well as the rest of the Queer Eye reboot's Fab Five, Bobby Berk, Tan France, Antoni Porowski, and Jonathan Van Ness, were in attendance to celebrate the couple's love. The party featured a cake by Charm City Cakes and flowers by Butterfly Floral & Event Design, as Three Olives and Freixenet kept the liquor flowing. Meanwhile, DJ Lil Buddha provided music for the night.
"OMG! I couldn't be happier for you, KK and Ian!" France wrote on his Instagram Stories, while Van Ness shared, "Fully crying. He produced this so well."
Later, Berk said on his Instagram Stories, "So, I just realized through all of Karamo and Ian's proposal I didn't post one video. It was almost like I wasn't there! I was so caught up in the moment that I just wanted to experience it in real life. I love you both. Congratulations!"
Prior to their engagement, Brown, who has two adult children, gushed about his man on Instagram. "I love you because of your heart, your humor but mostly because you don't mind serving #GlamourShots realness w/ me anytime I ask," he wrote, captioning a cute snapshot of the two. "I pray today and this year brings you everything your heart desires."
The following morning, the reality TV star took to Twitter to officially announce the exciting news to his fans. "Last night, in front of family & friends, I asked my best friend and the love of my life, 'will you marry me?' He said YESSS!!!!" he wrote. "I'm engaged! Showing off our beautiful David Yurman rings. #LoveWins Ian Jordan."
Congratulations to the happy couple!
