Whatever Happened To Taylor Cole From Laguna Beach?
There's no denying that the hit MTV reality show "Laguna Beach" helped launch the careers of many of its stars.
Just look at Lauren Conrad, who went on to have her own spin-off show, "The Hills." Later on, the fashion mogul founded the brands LC Lauren Conrad and Paper Crown. Conrad is also a prolific author, having published nine books. Kristin Cavallari is another "Laguna Beach" alum who continued to have major success in the entertainment industry. Like Conrad, she had her own reality show called "Very Cavallari," which ran from 2018 to 2020. In addition, she made her mark as an entrepreneur, founding the lifestyle, beauty, and jewelry company Uncommon James. She even reunited with "Laguna Beach" co-star and ex-boyfriend Stephen Colletti, with the two currently co-hosting a podcast called "Back to the Beach," which provides in-depth analysis of their time on the show.
While Conrad and Cavallari have had their share of accomplishments, what happened to "Laguna Beach" supporting stars like Taylor Cole? Fans may remember Cole as being Cavallari's nemesis, as she had a short-lived romance with the lead's ex-beau, Talan Torriero. Of course, all of that drama is now water under the bridge and is so 2005. So, what is Cole up to now?
Taylor Cole has found her ideal career path
As stated on her website, Taylor Cole is a holistic nutritionist. She has expertise in balancing gut health, stabilizing blood sugar levels, managing pregnancy and hormones, and generating weight loss. Cole is clearly passionate and dedicated to her work, with her career choice inspired by her own experiences having babies. As a nutritionist, her practice revolves around the motto "let's nourish," which consists of incorporating whole foods into one's lifestyle.
Cole provides lots of nutritional tips on her Instagram. In one post, she advised people to always combine carbs with a protein or fat. She wrote, "Always tell my clients I have 3 goals for them: – even energy all day. No more afternoon crashes – goood sleep – get them to a point where they can handle and even enjoy carbs without stress."
Her philosophy on eating is straightforward and doesn't involve depriving oneself to feel good. In another post, she explained, "Food can either direct our body down a path of function or dysfunction. It's that simple. No need for diets, crazy detoxes, juice cleanses or restriction when you help your body help YOU."
Inside Taylor Cole's personal life
Taylor Cole has been married to Kevin Simshauser since 2015. The couple shares three kids together. Cole has been outspoken about the difficulties she faced during her first pregnancy.
In 2018, she posted a photo on Instagram of her notable baby bump. In a lengthy caption, she candidly described her nerves for welcoming her first kid into the world. She wrote, in part, "Everyone keeps asking – are you excited? 100% YES, but also no." She continued to note her uncertainty with the process, writing, "Turns out it's real hard when you don't know what you are in for this first time around. Social media can mess with you too. Everyone so in love with these cute AF babies while I'm just feeling huge and really anxious wondering what will this love feel like? And am I the only one who is scared about how our life is going to change?"
But the love that Cole feels for her three kids is undeniable. In another post, she gave fans a humorous update on her family. Alongside a carousel of her children, she wrote, "The only thing I know for certain about 2023 is that it's going to fly by, these years just keeping faster. Tatum asked for a bra for Xmas, Cole will be 3 this week and Olson will start solids soon – WTF? When? How? My only New Years resolution is to slow down and keep it simple."
