Lea Michele Dishes On Surprise Proposal

Lea Michele is opening up about her recent engagement.

During her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, the former Glee star dished on fiancé Zandy Reich's surprise proposal in the Hamptons.

"I was so surprised, I kept saying, 'Stop joking around, stop joking around!'" the 31-year-old actress said, while flashing her gorgeous engagement ring to the camera. "I keep thinking it's borrowed and I have to give it back at some point."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, the "Cannonball" singer announced the cute couple's engagement on Instagram just last weekend. "Yes 💍," she simply wrote, captioning a sweet snapshot of herself smiling wide and covering her face with her hand, which showed off her latest accessory.

According to an E! News source, Reich, who is the president of the apparel company AYR, and Michele "couldn't be happier." He reportedly popped the question with a 4-carat elongated ring he had designed with The Jewelers of Las Vegas and jewelry designer Leor Yerushalmi.

The notably low-key pair were best friends before they started dating last July. At the time, the two went public with their relationship when they were spotted holding hands in New York City. 

Michele, who previously dated her late former co-star Cory Monteith, gushed about her new man while sharing a photo of herself and Reich looking over the horizon at the beach last August. "Last year, in this same spot, on this same day, you told me 30 was going to be the best year of my life.. it was," she wrote in the heartfelt caption. "So much to be grateful for, but mostly you.. got a feeling 31 is going to be even better... ❤️ u Z."
