Megan Fox Was Still A Teenager When She Met Brian Austin Green
Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green were together for 15 years, married for ten, and share three sons, Noah, Journey, and Bodhi. Their road to the altar had more than a few bumps along the way as they broke-up and made-up numerous times, but they finally got there in July 2010.
Fox and Green said "I do" during a romantic Hawaiian sunset wedding. The fresh-faced bride was barefoot and resplendent in an understated but stunning strapless white silk and taffeta Armani Privé gown with "a flowing 16ft-long train" and matching veil. The groom was clad in all-white, waiting for his wife-to-be with his best man Kassius Lijah, Green's son from his previous relationship with Vanessa Marcil. "They were beyond happy, and they seemed so comfortable," a friend said. "They decided a long time ago that they belonged with each other."
Looking at them now, Fox and Green make for an unlikely couple. He's a seemingly low-maintenance former high school geek, who was a controversy-shy ex-soap and teen drama star, who appeared in "Knott's Landing" and "Beverly Hills 90210." While she's a va-va-voom onset diva, who was axed from the "Transformers" franchise for comparing its director Michael Bay to "Hitler," boasts of drinking her fiancé's blood and is a longtime "red carpet siren." However, she was a totally different person when they first got together — probably because Fox was still a teenager when she met Brian Austin Green.
Megan Fox was just 18 when she met 30-year-old Brian Austin Green
Megan Fox was 18, and Brian Austin Green was 30 when they met on the set of her sitcom, "Hope & Faith." Despite the age gap, it was lust at first touch for Fox. "Everyone was around the monitor watching a scene, and Brian accidentally touched my leg. I remember literal electricity shooting through me and out me from every direction," she told New York Times Magazine. "I liked him right away."
However, it was a slow burner for Green. He was fresh from a long-term relationship with Vanessa Marcil. Green wasn't interested in diving right back in, despite Fox's many come-ons. "I kept pushing her away early on because I was like, 'I don't want a relationship,'" he admitted to KFC Radio. "And then she was like, 'Well, cool, I'm going to go date.'" As soon as Fox switched gears, though, Green was all in. "I was like, 'Wait a second, I didn't say go date, please!' So then that's when I realized I was, like, 'F**k, I must be really into this situation, [because] the thought of that kills me,'" he confessed.
Per New York Magazine, the two quickly settled into domestic bliss in the Hollywood Hills along with a "menagerie of animals." They described Fox as "a homebody" whose idea of a great Saturday night out was a meal for two at Red Lobster, "where she likes the cheese biscuits."
Megan Fox is a very different person post Brian Austin Green
Given that Megan Fox was 18 when she met Brian Austin Green, she would inevitably experience significant changes as she began to find herself. The transformation of Fox from 15 to 35 is pretty radical — shifting from bright-eyed and fresh-faced teen to edgy and sexually objectified "hot girl." Fox isn't happy about the latter label and told The New York Times she'd been typecast into the role against her will and wanted to be taken seriously.
New York Times Magazine notes that as Fox racked up the tattoos, announced she's bisexual, dabbled with the dark side, and upped the outrageous ante, she was "linking herself" to another sexually objectified brunette, Angelina Jolie. "I don't even consider her human," she gushed about the actor. "She's like a superhuman goddess." However, if there's one star Fox absolutely hates being compared to now, it's Jolie. She complained that it's "the bane of [her] existence." Fox insisted she has a sense of humor, unlike the "serious and stoic" Jolie — although there's no denying their shared talent for causing controversy.
One of Fox's most controversial moments was when she dumped Brian Austin Green and went public with Machine Gun Kelly just weeks later. Her now ex-husband doesn't harbor any bitterness, though. "Brian is happy for her, but it really isn't affecting him one way or the other," a source told Entertainment Tonight. "There's no bad blood or ill will between them at this point."
