Whatever Happened To Lexie Contursi From Laguna Beach?
"Laguna Beach" was one of the hit reality television series of the 2000s. Since MTV cancelled the show following Season 3 in 2006, the cast members of "Laguna Beach" have gone on to do various other things with their lives. Though readers most likely recall cast members such as Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari, Season 3 of "Laguna Beach" actually featured a new cast, including Lexie Contursi.
While Contursi might not be the biggest name to have appeared on "Laguna Beach" during its relatively short run, it turns out that she has remained involved in the entertainment industry, as shown by her credits on her IMDb page. In fact, viewers might be surprised to know that Contursi's work has included appearances on other popular reality shows over the years. At the same time, however, her work is in an area that could seem unexpected to some, given how she got her start.
Lexi Contursi made a career as a dancer
Following the end of "Laguna Beach," Season 3 cast member Lexie Contursi decided to pursue a career in dance, which a piece in the Orange County Register once mentioned was her aspiration. Nowadays, many of her IMDb credits relate to her abilities as a dancer. She auditioned for another reality series, the competition series, "So You Think You Can Dance," in 2010, and she later appeared as a dancer on an episode of the American version of "The X Factor" in 2012. On top of these and various acting roles in television and film, The U.S. Sun reports that Contursi has also appeared as a dancer in videos for Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.
A profile for Contursi on the website Casting Frontier lists some additional credits beyond those given on IMDb and mentions that she has had training in multiple styles of dance, from ballet to hip-hop. The same page also elaborates that Contursi has toured with Perry in addition to her music video work.
Lexie Contursi also owns a jewelry business
On top of her various credits in the entertainment industry, many of them as a professional dancer, former "Laguna Beach" cast member Lexie Contursi has branched out into a totally different arena: The star also owns her own jewelry business with her sister. In the biography of her Instagram profile, Contursi mentions that she is the founder of Chat Noir Vintage Fine Jewelry, linking to its profile on Instagram as well as to its website.
Chat Noir focuses on vintage gold jewelry and "specializes in exceptional and irreplaceable gold jewels sourced from all around the world," the website for the business says. It is a partnership between Lexie Contursi and her sister, Nicolette Contursi. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that either of the two sisters have discussed the business in any interviews as of the time of publication, and Chat Noir appears not to have a brick-and-mortar presence. Chat Noir was founded in Laguna Beach, California.
