Tristan Thompson Breaks Social Media Silence Amid Cheating Scandal
Tristan Thompson is breaking his silence — well, sort of.
On Sunday, April 29, 2018, the NBA star took to social media for the first time since reports that he cheated on girlfriend Khloé Kardashian while she was pregnant with their child broke earlier this month. But that doesn't necessarily mean he addressed the elephant in the room.
"WHAT AN ATMOSPHERE IN THE Q!! GREAT WIN #OnToTheNextOne," he wrote on Instagram, captioning a snapshot of himself on the basketball court. Earlier that night, his team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, beat the Indiana Pacers 105-101 in game seven of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinal playoffs.
While some fans didn't mind Thompson simply remaining focused on the game, others weren't too impressed with his post. "Plz do something to show Khloe that u sorry," one person wrote in the comments section, while another chimed in with, "Don't u think khloe deserves an apology smh" (via Us Weekly).
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Thompson was caught on video allegedly cheating on Kardashian with multiple women just days before welcoming their first child together, daughter True, in mid-April. Since then, several infidelity rumors have surfaced, claiming that the basketball pro had affairs with at least five women during the Revenge Body star's pregnancy.
While an E! News source recently reported that the new mom is considering trying to make their relationship work, an Entertainment Tonight insider alleged that they're "not in a good place" right now. "Khloé and Tristan continuing as a couple isn't a sure thing," the source explained. "Khloé is still upset over everything that came to light regarding Tristan, and is taking time to enjoy being a new mom before deciding the future of her relationship."
Meanwhile, the Kardashian-Jenner clan is allegedly "furious" with Thompson. Sister Kim addressed the scandal head-on during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "Like I don't even know how to describe it besides it's just so f**ked up," she told the host. "We really were rooting for Khloé, and we still are ... you know, she's so strong and she's doing the best that she can. It's a really sad situation all over."
Thompson, 27, and Kardashian, 33, have been together since October 2016. At the time of this writing, neither have publicly commented on the alleged infidelity.
