Richard Gere Secretly Marries Girlfriend Alejandra Silva

Richard Gere is a married man ... again!

HOLA! reports that the Pretty Woman star tied the knot with girlfriend Alejandra Silva in early April 2018 (via Entertainment Tonight). While the wedding may be over, the pair still have big plans in the works, as they will reportedly celebrate their nuptials with their family and friends at their New York home on May 6.

Gere, 68, told HOLA!, "I have found the quiet and happy life that I have always sought." Silva, 35, added, "I was a little lost, without light, and knowing him gave meaning to my life. It was feeling that someone was reaching out and showing me my true path."

According to People magazine, Gere and Silva have known each other for over a decade, but the two didn't start dating until 2014 after they reconnected. A source told the publication that Gere and Silva married "weeks and weeks ago" and are "extraordinarily happy" together. The insider continued, "They're so comfortable with each other, have fun together and are looking forward to their future together."

Gere and Silva's marriage marks the third for the actor, who had previously wed Cindy Crawford in 1991 and Carey Lowell, with whom he shares 17-year-old son Homer, in 2012. Silva has been married once before to Govind Friedland, with whom she shares 5-year-old son Albert.
