Why Grayson Chrisley Says He'll Never Watch Chrisley Knows Best

For what seems like forever, fans have watched the entire Chrisley family on their hit show, "Chrisley Knows Best." While the family has been through plenty of drama, with the most dramatic series ending of all – Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley's highly publicized tax evasion scandal, their family-oriented show tended to keep things light, most of the time. When the series first aired, Grayson Chrisley was really young, and "Chrisley Knows Best" fans watched him grow up before their eyes.

Todd and Julie regularly post about their youngest on social media, celebrating special milestones or "just because" moments. On May 16, 2022, the Chrisley family patriarch shared a carousel of images on Instagram that included a few images of himself and his son, Grayson. He accompanied the post with a super-sweet caption. "This day 16 years ago was one of the greatest days of our lives, I thank God each day all day long for blessing us with you, and I love you more than words could ever express, with all my heart," the reality star gushed. "Thank you for just being you."

Grayson's sister, Savannah Chrisley, has a place in her heart for her little brother. In December, she shared a sweet photo with Grayson, calling him her "forever best friend," adding, "I am so blessed to call you my brother," before plugging his appearance on her podcast. On the show, Grayson spilled some major tea, including why he will never watch the family's hit show.

Grayson Chrisley isn't a fan of the spotlight

There are some people who enjoy watching themselves on television, and there are others who don't. "Chrisley Knows Best Star" Grayson Chrisley falls under the category of those who don't enjoy it, and he has his reasons. The reality star appeared on an episode of his sister, Savannah Chrisley's podcast "Unlocked," where he revealed that he has never seen an episode of the series that made his family famous, and he has no plans to. "I don't think it's interesting," he confessed. "I mean, I don't like it, but apparently people do... I haven't even watched myself on TV."

Grayson also spoke about being thrust into the limelight as a kid, stating that he doesn't "know anything different." The reality star continued, "I mean, I didn't really understand what was going on, because I was like, 'I don't really have a choice.' I had fun with it because I didn't understand it." Grayson added, "The older I got, the more I was like, 'Oh, I gotta do this.' ... I thought it was cool, but the cool wears off a little bit."

The teenager does not share much on Instagram and when he does he's not promoting his TV career. These days, the reality star shares pictures of himself lifting weights and channeling his energy into other activities, since we know he's not just sitting around watching television.

Inside one of Grayson Chrisley's biggest headlines

Grayson Chrisley may not be very fond of watching himself on television, but that doesn't stop him from making headlines. In 2022, TMZ reported that the teenager got into a pretty scary car accident in Nashville when the traffic came to a stop and he slammed his Ford F-150 truck into a car stopped on the interstate. Photos from the scene showed Grayson's cracked windshield and some pretty severe damage to the front of his truck.

Luckily, Grayson was okay following the crash and walked away basically unscathed. He spoke about the incident on Savannah Chrisley's "Unlocked" podcast. The teenager called out media outlets for making things seem worse than they were and "for making it seem like I died." However, Grayson admitted that his truck didn't fare so well in the crash. "It was bad, it was really bad," he told his sister on the show. He also touched on social media's reaction to the ordeal. "Do you know how many DMs I got that were like, 'Surprised you're not still in the hospital?' I'm like, 'I was there for, like, four hours,'" he lamented.

Todd Chrisley also spoke about the crash on his "Chrisley Confessions" podcast. "I remember looking at Grayson on that stretcher in the back of that ambulance and him crying and the police stopping me to talk to me before they took me to him," Todd recalled. We're just glad that he's okay!
