Inside Christina Ricci And Devon Sawa's Relationship
Christina Ricci and Devon Sawa are two past child actors who worked together for a classic '90s film.
Ricci rose to fame in the early '90s, with one of her breakout roles being Kate Flax in "Mermaids." She went on to play Wednesday Addams in two films before scoring the part of Kat in "Casper" opposite Sawa, who portrayed the human form of Casper. During this movie moment, Ricci's and Sawa's characters dance together after Casper becomes human, with Casper asking Kat, "Can I keep you?"
While talking to Entertainment Tonight about "Casper" in 2020, Sawa reflected on his appreciation for how meaningful it has been for fans over the years. "I probably will hear, 'Can I keep you?' for the rest of my life, and it's part of me, part of my past, and I'm grateful," Sawa said. "I'm just so darn fortunate that I'm still going at this thing and that I get the opportunities that I get." Years later, it was revealed that Ricci was influential in Sawa landing this gig.
