TV personality Kate Chastain has moved on to new projects since ending her time on "Below Deck." Chastain first began appearing in the Bravo series in its second season as she filled the position of chief stewardess, per Bravo. After six seasons as a popular "Below Deck" cast member, Chastain took to her Instagram account in February 2020 to reveal that she would be leaving the show.
"After many months of reflection and internal discussions, I have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new land based role," Chastain wrote. "I intend to step back as a senior member of the Below Deck Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support His Majesty Andy Cohen." In August 2020, Chastain discussed why she'd chosen to walk away from "Below Deck" when she was a guest on "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen." Per Bravo, she said, "I just feel like I'm 37 and a half — and I don't think a girl should be wearing a skort at 38." Following this departure, the reality star has continued her television appearances and has an exciting announcement in her personal life.

Back in 2021, Chastain talked to HollywoodLife about her past on "Below Deck." When she was asked if she'd ever return to "Below Deck" in the event that Captain Lee Rosbach needed her assistance, Chastain said that she might under certain circumstances. "If it was Captain Lee, and it was a one charter only emergency situation, I'd say yes, but otherwise, I think I'd prefer to go back to the yachting world as a charting guest," she revealed.
