Cardi B Debuts Baby Bump On SNL, Expecting First Child With Fiance Offset
Cardi B is going to be a mom!
Following months of speculation, the "Bodak Yellow" rapper put her baby bump on full display during her Saturday Night Live debut on Saturday, April 7, 2018, confirming that she's expecting her first child with fiancé Offset (real name Kiari Cephus).
While she hid her stomach under a black-and-white feathery outfit during her first performance of the night, Cardi B stepped out into the spotlight while sporting a white form-hugging gown during her second song, "Be Careful." In a post-performance backstage video captured by one of her friends, the "Finesse" rapper can be seen celebrating the big reveal while excitedly yelling, "I'm finally free!"
Just after her performance, Offset captioned a cute snapshot of the two on Twitter with, "Cardi and I look forward to our next chapter together." Sharing the same photo on Instagram, he wrote, "Thank you for all of your support [.] We feel so blessed."
Meanwhile, Cardi B, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, tweeted, "I started winning when the whole world was doubting on me! think imma lose with my little baby counting on me?"
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Offset, 26, proposed to Cardi B, 25, while on stage at a concert in Philadelphia in October 2017. However, ever since their engagement announcement, the couple has been forced to dodge pregnancy rumors.
In February 2018, the Migos rapper told TMZ, "I'm already a father of three [from previous relationships]. I don't know what you're talking about. My kids [are] 2, 2, and 8. I don't got no other possibilities."
Cardi B, who dropped her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, the day before her SNL appearance, recently addressed the rumors while explaining that she simply preferred to keep some things about her life private.
"I just feel like people just gotta tune in a little bit on my album and they will know a little bit more because I can't address all the rumors and everything," she told Apple Music's Beats 1. "I have been so open to people about myself. People cannot expect me to be open about everything. Certain things to me, it has to be private. You cannot invade my privacy. I'm not a d*mn animal at the zoo that you could just see everything. No! People just will find out more."
Congratulations to the happy couple!
