Rudy Giuliani, Wife Judith Call It Quits After 15 Years Of Marriage
Rudy Giuliani is splitting from his wife Judith.
Page Six reports that Judith filed for a contested divorce proceeding at the Manhattan Supreme Court on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. It is thought that she will fight her husband over assets like their properties in both Manhattan and Palm Beach, Fla.
The publication confirmed the news with a statement from the former mayor of New York City. "It is with great sadness I can confirm that Judith and I are divorcing," Rudy said. "We hope to do this as amicably as possible, and hope that people will respect the privacy of our children at this time."
The 73-year-old added, "In these divorce situations, you cannot place blame, it is 50/50, there are problems on both sides. We will have to divide our properties in New York and Palm Beach."
Rudy and Judith married in 2003. While they don't have any kids together, they both have adult children from previous relationships.
The end of their relationship marks both parties' third failed marriage. Before tying the knot with Judith, Rudy was married to Regina Peruggi from 1968 to 1982 and then to Donna Hanover from 1984 to 2002. He famously began a relationship with Judith when he was still married to Hanover, as covered by a 2001 issue of People magazine.
