Normani Kordei Opens Up Following Fifth Harmony's Hiatus Announcement

Normani Kordei has something to say to her heartbroken fans.

On Wednesday, March 21, 2018, the Fifth Harmony singer spoke with Entertainment Tonight at the launch of Boohoo.com's spring collection at the Dream Hotel in Hollywood, where she shared a sweet message with the group's fans following their recent hiatus announcement.

"Oh, I love you guys so much and you made it the best time of my life," Kordei, 21, said. "I'll never forget it."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Fifth Harmony members Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, Dinah Jane, and Ally Brooke, took to Twitter on Monday, March 19 to reveal that they would be taking a hiatus from the girl group to pursue solo careers.

"Reflecting on the past six years since we started on X-Factor, we've realized just how far we've come and we appreciate everything so much, more now than ever," the "Work from Home" singers wrote in a lengthy statement. "We've really had one hell of a memorable journey together and can't begin to express our gratitude to y'all for coming along with us on this wild ride!"

The message continued, "After six years going hard, non stop, we also realized that in order to stay authentic to ourselves and to you, we do need to take some time for now to go on a hiatus from Fifth Harmony in order to pursue solo endeavors. We are all very excited and grateful to be able to take this time to learn and grow creatively and really find out footing as individuals. In doing this we are allowing ourselves to gain new experiences, strengths and perspectives that we can bring back to our Fifth Harmony family."

After thanking their adoring Harmonizers for their love and support, the group stated that they will still perform at their upcoming scheduled shows later this year.

Former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello famously left the group in December 2016. Since then, the "Havana" singer's solo career has taken off. In addition to releasing a number of hit songs, she will perform as one of the opening acts of friend Taylor Swift's Reputation tour later in the year.

According to an ET source, Cabello's exit has nothing to do with Fifth Harmony's drama-free hiatus. "They all decided together that the end of this tour was a natural break," the insider said. "They're happy and supportive of each other."
