Every Time Tristan Thompson Has Been Caught In A Scandal

If we had to guess, we'd say Tristan Thompson enjoys long walks on the beach, shooting hoops, and cheating on his pregnant girlfriends. The former Celtics star has had a busy life on the road playing basketball professionally, but he still finds time to have an even busier sex life. As Thompson has children with multiple women and is scorned by the Kardashians, he adds to his reputation of being one of Hollywood's shadiest men. While he can shoot, he certainly isn't scoring any points in his personal life. At this point, fans might know more about his track record with women than anything about his basketball stats. 

For those who aren't versed in his salacious affairs, we're happy to break down Thompson's extracurricular activities. The baller is most notoriously connected to Khloé Kardashian, ever since they were first spotted together in 2016 by TMZ. After making it social media official that fall, they embarked on their up-and-down relationship — tarnished by Thompson's baby mama drama. The two managed to weather many storms, getting back together despite the mountain of red flags on the player's part. Kardashian had two children with Thompson, but the nail in the coffin came when paternity tests proved the professional athlete fathered a child with another woman while expecting a baby with the "Good American" founder. Roses are red, violets are blue, is anything Tristan Thompson says true? 

The trail of Tristan Thompson's scandals leads back to his first known baby mama, Jordan Craig. The athlete reportedly began dating Craig in 2014, according to E! News, before welcoming his first son Prince with her in April 2016. Craig is most known for her work as an Instagram influencer, but also briefly married rapper Tyga (who later dated Kylie Jenner) before the two got divorced a month later.

Thompson's relationship with his baby mama was heavily scrutinized. He came forward in 2019 to deny rumors that he had cheated on Craig when he began dating Khloé Kardashian. "Also, when I met Khloe I was SINGLE. The negative comments that are constantly being directed towards her are unnecessary," Thompson tweeted. Despite clearing his name, his troubles were far from over. Radar obtained court documents in which Craig blamed her pregnancy complications on Thompson dating Kardashian. "Every day several articles were published worldwide mocking my new unfortunate reality and my pregnancy would now become one of the most popular gossip headlines due to the woman Tristan was now publicly dating during my pregnancy," Craig claimed.

Kardashian denied any claims that Thompson cheated on Craig with her, writing in her Instagram Stories at the time (via E! News): "His best friends, business associates and even his mother told me, him and his ex were broken up before we met." She added, "This is my truth! The truth I believed and trusted... I pray my truth is in-fact that."

Carrying a child is not easy — but watching your soon-to-be baby daddy motorboat and kiss other women while you're carrying that child has to be even harder. Khloé Kardashian knows this all too well... The "Good American" founder learned from TMZ surveillance footage that the father of her child had cheated on her while she was just three months pregnant. 

The video footage shows Tristan Thompson in October 2017 with not one, not two, but three women near Washington D.C., getting cozy in a hookah lounge. Two of the women get handsy with the NBA star, kissing him and grabbing him below the belt. It was quite the warm-up for the professional athlete, as he played the Washington Wizards the next day. The woman seen kissing the basketball player in the footage supposedly had no idea Kardashian was pregnant (according to TMZ's sources), and she was under the impression his relationship with her was casual. When the cheating news broke in 2018, Kardashian was set to give birth to their first child, True, just days later.  

Though she never made a public statement when the damning video was released, Kardashian did address her reaction on a later episode of Hulu's "The Kardashians" (via E! News). "I have thrown water on all your clothes when I was nine months pregnant," she said to Thompson. "If I wasn't pregnant, I would have f***ed you up. I just didn't want to break my nails before delivery."

Tristan Thompson had just about anything on his mind but fatherly duties during Khloé Kardashian's pregnancy with their first child. The Daily Mail posted photos of the NBA star getting hot and heavy with New York strip club worker and model Lani Blair just days before the birth of his daughter True. The pair partied the night away at PHD Rooftop Lounge in Manhattan and later hit SoHo House. The Shade Room posted snaps of Blair leaving the Four Seasons with Thompson on the following Monday with an oversized bag, seemingly having spent the weekend with the NBA star at his hotel. 

Blair didn't have much to say about the incident when questioned by Us Weekly. "I just want to have a good time tonight. I don't even want to get into that," she said. The model continued, "It's not even on my mind. It's my birthday. It's my birthday weekend. I'm here to have a good time." Despite the mounting evidence against him, Kardashian and Thompson were seen celebrating a friend's birthday at that time. 

The birth of Kardashian and Thompson's daughter was documented on an episode of E!'s "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," in which sister Kim said of Thompson: "As much as I want to go off, I just don't think it's the time. So I'm gonna keep it cute, I don't have to have a lot of interaction, I just have to be there for her."

In a shocking revelation of continued bad behavior, Tristan Thompson stepped out on Khloé Kardashian yet again in February 2019 — this time with Kardashian's half-sister Kylie Jenner's best friend, Jordyn Woods. Sources told Us Weekly that the pair were spotted together at an after-party hosted by Thompson where party guests were prohibited from taking cellphone pics. Kardashian had previously left the cheating NBA star, but they were attempting to work things out. She reportedly confronted Thompson and ended things again after multiple people told her he was seen making out with Woods. Thompson wrote "FAKE NEWS" in a since-deleted tweet, per Us Weekly. However, the outlet also claimed that Thompson admitted his infidelity to Kardashian.

Woods appeared on Jada Pinkett Smith's "Red Table Talk" to admit that she shared a kiss with Thompson and had initially lied to Khloé Kardashian. The reality star wasn't buying it, however, tweeting, "Why are you lying @jordynwoods ?? If you're going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story. BTW, You ARE the reason my family broke up!"

Scorned by the Kardashians, Woods was never able to redeem herself from her fall from grace. The model was completely cut off by the Kardashian-Jenner clan, but Khloé decided to forgive her NBA star baby daddy and give things another try in 2020, as per Us Weekly. 

Tristan Thompson's web of lies got even more tangled in April 2021 when model Sydney Chase alleged that she had a fling with the Celtics alum, per Page Six. The Instagram influencer appeared in a since-deleted episode of the "No Jumper" podcast. In a short clip that circulated, one of her "Blackout Girls" groupies asked Chase about Thompson's genitalia. Chase claimed that the NBA star told her he was single (despite his rekindling with Khloé Kardashian the previous summer). She also crudely commented, "It was a peek-a-boo d*** but baby it was good."

The model popped up in an Instagram Live that seemed to take place on the same day as the "No Jumper" recording. Chase read out loud alleged texts between her and the basketball player: "Tristan literally said, 'Yes baby I like that. I want to see what they look like. I'm curious. You got me excited to come back..." she disclosed, adding, "Apparently Khloé is not his type but I'm his type and [inaudible]" (via The Sun). Chase later took to TikTok in a since-deleted video to address the scandal. "Me answering the question about our past relations, that is true. We did have past relations; I then found out that he was in a relationship and I ended things," Chase confessed. 

Thompson denied the allegations and had his lawyer send both Chase and "No Jumper" host Adam John Grandmaison cease-and-desist letters. The document sent to Chase characterized her claims as "fictitious" and "defamatory," per Page Six. Kardashian and Thompson broke up shortly after the incident but eventually got back together later that year.

Just when you think things couldn't get messier for Tristan Thompson, he finds a way to dig himself into an even bigger hole. Thompson confirmed on Instagram (via People) in January 2022 that according to paternity tests, he was the father of Maralee Nichols' baby. He added, "I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son."

Thompson and Khloé Kardashian's son was born in July, suggesting that he cheated this time while making surrogacy plans with Kardashian. The drama unfolded on the Season 1 finale of Hulu's "The Kardashians" when Kim broke the news of the scandal to Khloé. "Let me f***ing call him. I can't f***ing believe this," Khloé says in the episode. Kim tells her sister, "If this isn't the biggest sign for you to not have another baby with this human being," unaware at the time that Khloé was already expecting a child with Thompson via surrogate. 

Khloé spoke directly to the camera in the Season 2 premiere of "The Kardashians," revealing that she told Kim about the pregnancy after her sister informed her of Thompson's future child with Nichols — at which point Khloé was taken off speaker. The mom had completed an embryo transfer with Thompson just days before she learned what he'd been doing behind the scenes. Khloé and Tristan are seemingly over for good but are still co-parenting their two kids.
