Sister Wives' Meri Brown Admits She's Open To Reconciling With Kody Amid Their Split

Kody Brown is losing wives left, right, and center. The star of TLC's "Sister Wives" is famous for his plural marriage and was linked to Janelle Brown, Christine Brown, Meri Brown, and Robyn Brown. However, after being married for more than 25 years, Kody and Christine divorced, after breaking the news in November 2021, per People. They share six children.

Shortly thereafter, Janelle and Kody separated in 2022 and they also share six kids, per Us Weekly. Janelle explained that the COVID-19 pandemic took a toll on their relationship, as Kody had to spend time away from her. "With Kody and I right now, our relationship is pretty strained," Janelle admitted during an episode of "Sister Wives" from January, (via Us Weekly). "And you know, it's easy to walk away." Well, that's exactly what happened. Hot on the heels of these two splits, Meri and Kody announced their split — but this one might be more complicated than we expected.

In fact, Meri might not be totally done with the relationship, but it seems like Kody is, leaving him with one wife left: Robyn. Could they work it out? Meri's open to the idea.

Meri would be open to reconciling with Kody

Kody and Meri Brown divorced in 2014 so that he could marry Robyn Brown and adopt her children from a previous relationship, according to Us Weekly. The point of the divorce was litigious rather than emotional, and Kody and Meri planned on staying together in a spiritual marriage. However, things were rocky between the two and in February 2021, Kody said he felt like he couldn't end the marriage, but the wives could.

However, it looks like Kody was the one who opted for the marriage to end in this case, after all. In a preview clip for "Sister Wives: One on One," Kody said, "If she wanted to move on and marry another, she wouldn't get an argument with me," per People. Meri said that Kody made the decision without speaking to her.

In another preview clip for "Sister Wives," Kody admitted in a past confessional that he was open to working things out with Meri. She watched the clip of Kody speaking about a reconciliation and admitted that it was news to her. "That's interesting that he felt like that... it makes me feel good that he was considering it but it didn't last through the evening," Meri said of the night from the past. "I would be open to it," she added. It seems like the ball is in Kody's court.
