Eddie Redmayne, Wife Hannah Welcome Second Child

Eddie Redmayne is a father of two!

On Sunday, March 18, 2018, the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them star announced in an official notice to The London Times that he and his wife, Hannah Bagshawe, welcomed their second child, son Luke Richard Bagshawe, on Saturday, March 10 (via E! News).

Redmayne, 36, and Bagshawe, 34, married in December 2014 and welcomed their first child, daughter Iris Mary Redmayne, in June 2016. As Nicki Swift previously reported, the Theory of Everything star's rep confirmed that the proud parents were expecting baby no. 2 in November 2017, adding that the married pair were "delighted" by the news.

With another baby on the way, Redmayne recently revealed how he and his wife of four years were preparing for expanding their family during an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan. "We've just about got to that stage when we're beginning to get sleep and remember what that word means," he quipped. "Getting prepped to go back into the trenches."

"We don't know [what we're having] — we're not going to find out," the Oscar winner continued, explaining that while they wanted the baby's gender to remain a secret, the two did have a name picked out in the case of a boy. "Last time we didn't know either, and we did that thing where there was basically only one name for each sex that we agreed on."

Redmayne previously opened up about fatherhood on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in November 2016. Explaining that the sleep deprivation is worth it, he said, "It's that amazing thing when it's 3 o'clock in the morning and you go in and you're sort of gently furious, and you get a little smile and your heart breaks a bit, and it's totally worth it."
