Dwayne Johnson Reveals His 2-Year-Old Daughter Was Hospitalized
The Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle star had quite a scary weekend.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson took to Instagram on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, to reveal that he and girlfriend Lauren Hashian's 2-year-old daughter, Jasmine, spent all night at the emergency room after requiring emergency services on Saturday, March 3. She is thankfully doing much better now.
"Things got a lil' hairy this weekend," the proud dad wrote in the caption of a heartfelt video. "Thank you LAFD first responders & UCLA medical team. We're grateful to you all and if you ever need anything, I got your back."
"This past Saturday night, something happened to me and my family that I would never want to happen to any of you, but, of course, emergencies do happen," Johnson explained in the video, which he recorded mid-workout. "We were up all night with something scary that happened with our little baby girl Jasmine, who is okay now."
The Moana star went on to express his gratitude to those who helped take care of his daughter and family throughout the difficult situation, saying, "I just want to say thank you so much to everyone who was involved — so caring, compassionate and so responsive."
While Johnson didn't reveal why his little girl was hospitalized, he concluded the clip with advice to other parents who may one day face a similar situation. "To all you mommies and daddies out there, when emergencies like this happen, I would just highly recommend that you stay as calm and as focused as possible because our little babies energetically, they pick up on what we're putting out," he said. "Especially in times of stress."
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Johnson, 45, and Hashian, 33, announced in December 2017 that they are expecting their second child together, a baby girl. The couple, who have been together since 2007, welcomed Jasmine in December 2015. Johnson also shares a daughter, 16-year-old Simone Garcia Johnson, with his ex-wife Dany Garcia. Last year, she was named the first-ever Golden Globe ambassador.
We're so glad to hear that Jasmine is okay!
