Usher Splits From Wife Grace Miguel

The "OMG" singer is headed for divorce.

Usher and his wife, Grace Miguel, have split. In a joint statement obtained by Us Weekly on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, the pair announced, "After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple." They added, "We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward."

A source told the magazine that the two have already been separated for a few months.

Usher, whose full name is Usher Raymond IV, and Miguel first started dating in 2009 and later married in September 2015. Prior to their romance, Usher had been married to Tameka Foster, with whom he shares two sons, 10-year-old Usher Raymond V and 9-year-old Naviyd Ely.

Usher and Miguel's breakup comes after multiple people accused the singer of exposing them to the herpes virus. As reported by TMZ, Usher has denied that he'd had any sexual contact with his accusers. However, his lawyers also reportedly argued that if Usher had previously had sex with the accusers, they had "assumed the risk" of potentially contracting an STD.
