The Biggest Keeping Up With The Kardashian Fights Ranked
Whether you love the Kardashians or can't stand them, there's no denying how precious their familial bond is. Although the Kar-Jenners might sometimes get swept up in the glitz and glam of Hollywood, at the end of the day, it's clear that what matters most to each of them is their family unit.
But despite their deep affinity for one another, just like all families, they get into some pretty heated fights. While these arguments often make for great television, they can definitely be detrimental to the family. Sometimes the fights are so nasty that the sisters will have to take a step back from one another in order to refrain from world war three. Kourtney Kardashian even bowed out of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" due to the toxic behavior on set. "It's not a positive environment for me to want to be in every day when I feel like they're so critical of me," she said in a confessional, via People. "Every day I'm coming in, I'm like, 'Why am I choosing to be in this environment?' And I think I just reached my point of not being able to tolerate it anymore."
According to a source close to the Kardashians (per E! News,) "They sling mud and can hit below the belt like only families can," adding, "It can get very ugly, but then it's over before you know it." With that being said, let's check out the most explosive (and let's just admit it, iconic) fights on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."
9. When Kim gave Kourtney her whole career
All of the Kar-Jenner sisters have been in explosive fights at one point or another throughout "Keeping Up With the Kardashians'" 20-season run. You'd think that the tension between the family members would die down due to the fact that they're older and wiser, right? Wrong! If anything, the drama on the popular E! show got significantly more intense as the seasons went on. Particularly, the fights between Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian have blown up to epic proportions. Even Kim confessed that she and Kourtney aren't as close as they once were; instead, she felt as though a different sister had taken her place. Revealing who her favorite sister at the moment is, she said, "It changes, just like friends or relationships go in and out. I think this year has been a really strong Kim and Khloé year," Kim confessed to Vogue Arabia in 2019. "Kourtney and I will always be really close, but this year, Khloé and I really bonded."
Fans of the series have seen firsthand how much Kourtney and Kim have drifted apart over the years. This was emphasized when Kourtney refused to be involved with Kim's video game because she wasn't getting paid for being a part of it. Kim was furious with her sister for not doing her this one small favor. Kim was especially hurt because she felt as though she had bent over backward for Kourtney, even going so far as to remind her sister that she "bought her a f***ing career."
8. The Kardashians vs Scott Disick
Scott Disick has willingly taken on the role as the lovable antagonist on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." The reality star has even said that he is comfortable playing the part of the bad guy because he knows that deep down, he means well. "I don't mind being portrayed as the villain on TV, but nobody knows the real me," Disick said in an interview with Life & Style, per Yahoo!. "I'm a great guy."
Despite his wrongdoings and slip-ups throughout the series' run, he has always been an integral member of the Kardashian clan. Because he lost both of his parents at a young age and is an only child, he considered the Kar-Jenners to be like his own family, and they usually welcome him in with open arms. But in one particular instance, when Disick brought another woman with him on a family trip to Costa Rica (per E! Entertainment,) the sisters were not as quick to let him off the hook. The situation ended with Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian throwing their drinks in Scott's lap during dinner. Although Scott and Kourtney were long broken up by this point, the situation clearly hurt Kourtney who had been in an on-and-off relationship with Scott for over a decade.
Fortunately, Kourtney has amazing sisters who worked hard to make her feel better. Fans know that Kourtney is now happily married to Travis Barker. Meanwhile, Scott is still on a mission to find that special someone to settle down with. According to People, in September 2022, he was reportedly dating model Rebeca Donaldson, yet it's unclear whether or not they're still seeing each other.
7. Kim and Kris vs Rob and Blac Chyna
Who remembers the endless drama from Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna's relationship? Their courtship was extremely unhealthy considering there was alleged physical and emotional abuse involved in their romance (per People). Yet before things got messy with Rob and Blac Chyna, the two were at each other's sides through thick and thin, even if it meant being together at the expense of Rob's family members. So when Blac Chyna publicly mocked Kris Jenner via Snapchat, Rob chose to side with his girlfriend over his mother.
The incident all kicked off when Kris helped Rob move into his new house with Blac Chyna. In what was meant to be a thoughtful move, Kris went out of her way to stock up her son's fridge and pantry with various goods. Instead of being grateful for Kris' gesture, Rob and Chyna decided to go on Snapchat to laugh at Kris' food choices for the couple.
Of course, Kris and the rest of the Kar-Jenners were far from happy with Rob and Chyna's behavior. Kim even claimed that she rarely ever gets furious, yet this situation caused her to have to put her foot down. The reality star called Rob to let him know how upset she was, putting her brother in his place. "Mom has bent over backwards doing all this stuff," Kim reminded Rob (per E! Entertainment). "There's so many haters in the world, and we don't need it from our own inside circle."
If you or someone you know is dealing with domestic abuse, you can call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1−800−799−7233. You can also find more information, resources, and support at their website.
6. Kris and Caitlyn's relationship hits an all-time low
Kris Jenner was in a relationship with Caitlyn Jenner for over two decades. Although their relationship could be bumpy at times, it was obvious that they cared about each other tremendously throughout their marriage. And while many speculated that Caitlyn's transition was the reason for their split, the "I Am Cait" star told Daily Mail that this wasn't the case. "When Kris and I separated, it wasn't because of trans issues. It was for a million other reasons," she spilled to the outlet. "Kris and I had a great relationship for a long time. We built an amazing family, but circumstances and people change. And I think the hardest thing is to be able to make those changes together and still be as strong."
Following her transition, Caitlyn wrote a memoir titled "The Secrets of My Life." Unfortunately, the book painted her former wife Kris in a terrible light, making her out to be an opportunist. Of course, this destroyed Kris, who was already in a bad state due to their recent divorce. Kris claimed that all of the allegations about her in Caitlyn's book are far from true, and she felt utterly betrayed that her former spouse had depicted her in such a negative light.
"None of it made sense," Kris told her daughters on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians (per E! Entertainment.) "Everything (Caitlyn) says is all made up. Why does everything have to be that Kris is such a b***h and an a**hole?"
5. Kendall and Kylie fight over an outfit
Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner have a complex relationship. According to W Magazine, Kylie even once said of her sister on "Life of Kylie," "Kendall and I, I don't think we'd be friends if we weren't sisters." This theory was made pretty evident based on one tumultuous occasion in Palm Springs, when Kendall got furious with Kylie for stealing the outfit that she intended on wearing. While all the other sisters were decked out in flashy party clothes to head out for a night in the town, Kendall felt as though her outfit was incredibly underwhelming in comparison. "Like I literally look like I'm going to f***ing lunch," the model complained, while in comparison to her decked-out sisters. Of course, Kylie and Kendall had it out over the outfit, with Kendall snapping at her sister, saying, "you've ruined my f***ing night." Khloe chimed in on the hostile situation: "This sister night is just turning into catfights left and right."
This isn't the first time the girls have gotten into massive spats over clothing, yet this occasion was certainly the most destructive. It even ended with Kylie allegedly digging her heel in Kendall's neck! Of course, like most explosive fights, this one wasn't actually just because of an outfit. According to Kendall, she said that it was because she felt as though Kylie received special treatment. She explained on the series: "Everyone bows down to Kylie and lets her wear whatever the f*** she wants."
4. The purse-throwing drama
Over the years, Khloe Kardashian and Kim Kardashian have arguably become the most civil out of the sisters. But in the earlier seasons of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," the two were much less likely to see eye to eye. This was especially so when Khloe felt as though Kim was in the wrong for not defending her when she got into a heated fight with a car dealership provider. Khloe felt as though the provider was being unnecessarily rude to her, and Kim chose to stand up for the stranger as opposed to her sister. Of course, Khloe was furious with Kim for taking his side since 1) she felt like he was in the wrong, and 2) Kim chose to defend a stranger as opposed to her sister.
The situation ended in hysterics when Kim began swiping her bag at Khloe, saying, "Don't be f***ing rude." Unsurprisingly, the purse-throwing incident turned out to be perfectly meme-worthy. It became so popular that in 2020, the Jonas Brothers recreated the iconic purse-swinging scene on TikTok, captioning it "Don't be rude" (per Pop Sugar.)
3. Should the Kardashians go to therapy?
Later seasons of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" really highlighted how tumultuous things have gotten between the sisters. While the earlier seasons would showcase the family members getting into heated arguments, they would tend to blow over by the end of each episode. Yet in the latter half of the reality series, the endless drama between Kourtney, Khloe, and Kim never seemed to die down. In fact, according to Kourtney as of October 2022, it reportedly still hasn't. The Poosh founder admitted that she isn't as close to her sisters as she was while they were filming the series.
In reference to her relationship with her sisters, particularly with Khloe, she says that life has taken the two of them in different directions. "I think just life isn't the same," she said on the "Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast," adding, "I think I'm in a different place."
And in one particularly heated episode, Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe sat down in their at-home theatre to discuss the possibility of going to therapy together (per E! Entertainment.) Kourtney, who was fed up with her sisters at the time, said that she didn't want to go. This, of course, irritated Kim and Khloe to no end. "We always just sweep things under the rug and we don't talk anything through," Khloe tells Kourtney and Kim of their fights. "That's just what this family does."
2. 'The least exciting to look at'
In an incredibly heated argument between Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian, Kim ended up throwing shade at her older sister by calling her "the least exciting to look at" out of all the Kar-Jenner family members. Ouch! (Also so incredibly far from the truth.) But what ignited Kim to dish out such a nasty dig at her sister?
It all started when the Kardashians/Jenner's decided to do a family photo shoot. They had a set scheduled time, yet it ended up being inconvenient for Kourtney who had indicated that she had no desire to do the photoshoot. (In her defense, don't these guys have enough family photos for a lifetime?)
Still, Kim felt like Kourtney was being selfish for not cooperating with the rest of the family's schedule. She also felt as though it was unfair of Kourtney to act entitled with their time since, according to Kim, she doesn't work as hard as the rest of the family. The fight ended with Kim claiming that she doesn't even want Kourtney involved in the photoshoot anyway. She slams her sister, saying, "No one wants you in the f***ing shoot so get the f*** out of here. Get the f*** out of here and go. No one wants you in the f***ing shoot. I'm planning it. I'm planning the shoot, so we don't want you in the shoot."
1. Stay-at-home mom vs empire builder
In recent years, Kourtney Kardashian has been very adamant about the fact that her main priority is her children. While the Kardashians are constantly working on growing their empire, Kourtney these days is much more interested in leading a normal lifestyle (or as normal as it can get for a Kardashian) where she can be a stay-at-home mom. While Kourtney has every right to do so, Kim has a hard time wrapping her head around Kourtney's values. In one undeniably memorable (albeit violent) occurrence on the series, the two sisters got into a physical altercation over Kourtney's work ethic (or lack thereof, according to Kimberly.)
Things got heated when the two began swiping at each other to the point that they were both throwing slaps. Khloe tried to mediate the situation by separating the sisters, but it was a futile endeavor. Kourtney ended up scratching her nails so harshly at her sister that she bled, as Kim revealed on "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon." She continued to discuss the incident, saying they had to stop filming for a week following the physical fight.
Kourtney revealed on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" that after the fight, she was ready to leave the show. "I just feel like every day they just pick on me, and I just can't do it anymore," she explained. "I was anxious about filming this season. It doesn't make me happy. Like I don't want to miss out on time with my kids, and it's not worth it."
