Hugh Grant Expecting Fifth Child

The Love Actually star is going to be a dad again!

According to an Us Weekly report, published on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018, Hugh Grant and his Swedish TV producer girlfriend, Anna Eberstein, are expecting their third child together. The couple's little bundle of joy will be the British actor's fifth child overall.

While Eberstein showed off her growing baby bump at the 2018 Golden Globes on Sunday, Jan. 7, her mother Susanne officially confirmed the pregnancy to the Swedish publication Aftonbladet. "Yes, I'm very happy to be getting another grandchild," she said. "She's due rather soon."

Grant previously opened up about fatherhood during an interview with The Guardian in 2011, saying he was "thrilled" to become a parent, adding, "I feel like a better person" (via Us Weekly). At the time, he planned to show his kiddos tough love rather than spoil them, "because you really cannot get anything done in life if there's too much, 'Oh, well, if you don't feel like it, don't do it, just express yourself,' I'm not really very big on that."

However, it doesn't sound like the Four Weddings and a Funeral star has necessarily become a strict disciplinarian in his home. "What has surprised me most is, I think, how enchanting I am as a father," Grant told People in 2015. "I break my own heart, I'm so nice."

As Nicki Swift previously noted, Grant, 57, and Eberstein, 39, are already parents to son John, 5, and a daughter, who was born in December 2015. The Notting Hill star is also dad to two children from his previous relationship with restaurant hostess Tinglan Hong, daughter Tabitha, 6, and son Felix, 5.
