Here's What LeAnn Rimes Really Looks Like Without Makeup
After rising to fame during her early teens, LeAnn Rimes has remained in the public eye ever since. Aside from making history as the youngest singer to win a Grammy Award at age 14 in 1997, she also secured collaborations with Elton John and Bon Jovi in the following years.
Becoming famous at such a young age definitely took a toll on Rimes, admitting there was pressure for her to always be presented in a certain way. "Being in the public eye from the time I was very young and having to override my humanness I think was a huge part of my experience with anxiety and depression and what was triggering it," she told Insider in July 2022. That said, Rimes has since become more comfortable in her own skin and embraced what makes her unique. After being so open about having psoriasis, the "Can't Fight The Moonlight" hitmaker led a worldwide campaign, "Stop Hiding from Psoriasis," in 2009 that aimed to encourage others to talk with their dermatologist about the impact it can have on those living with it.
After nearly three decades on the scene, Rimes has been known to put on a glam display. However, she isn't shy about showing off her natural beauty from time to time.
LeAnn Rimes loves a no makeup selfie
LeAnn Rimes is all for a makeup-free selfie and we're totally here for it. As seen in the snapshot above, the "How Do I Live" hitmaker went on a skiing trip and documented the experience with her Instagram followers in January 2020. "Pretending like my knees and my tailbone don't hurt! I may be bruised from a few falls, but at least the guy in my [goggles emoji] will kiss it better," she wrote in the caption. In the snapshot, she raised her goggles and rested them on her head, which allowed her to display her natural beauty in the light. Rimes gazed directly at the camera lens with a smile and even showed off her dazzling wedding ring.
In July 2019, Rimes proved she is clearly living her best life. In another upload where she appeared makeup-free, she posed on a boat in what looked to be in the middle of a lake. The "Masked Singer" champion scraped back her locks and stunned in a matching bikini set that was covered in cherries. Two years later, Rimes showed off her sporty side after being captured on a tennis court wearing a crop top and skort. She sported her hair in two side plaits and flashed a radiant smile in the sun. "I don't know what the antagonist of Wimbledon is, but I'm ready for it!" Rimes wrote.
LeAnn Rimes bared all for World Psoriasis Day
For World Psoriasis Day in 2020, LeAnn Rimes stripped everything back and bared all for a photoshoot for Glamour. "I was only two years old when I was diagnosed with psoriasis. By the time I was six, about 80% of my body was covered in painful red spots — everything but my hands, feet, and face," she told the magazine.
After finding a treatment that helped keep her skin clear, Rimes' flare-ups returned and covered her body after the stress of the pandemic. Instead of hiding away from the situation, she chose to embrace the skin condition and show off her body in the raw photoshoot. Rimes was captured from various angles and didn't cover her flare-ups with makeup or any editing. "I want to give a voice to what so many other people are going through. This is finally my time to be unabashedly honest about what psoriasis is and what it looks like," she wrote on Instagram.
Rimes' husband, actor Eddie Cibrian, opened up to Page Six in 2021 about how "incredibly proud" he was of his wife for being so transparent about her story. "I think it helps them out when she comes out to talk about it so openly," he explained, "I think it helps them out as well."
