Patrick Dempsey's Daughter Has Grown Up To Be Gorgeous
Patrick Dempsey has played plenty of roles in television and in films, but there's no doubt that Derek Shepherd, aka McDreamy on "Grey's Anatomy," is the one for which he's most well-known. As fans know, Patrick starred on the ABC hit for 11 seasons (per Vanity Fair) before his time on the show ended in 2015, thus breaking "Grey's" fans' hearts across the globe.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the actor described his last day on the set of "Grey's Anatomy" and how it proved to be like any other day. Even the ride home was normal. "It was very quiet," he shared. "It was very poetic. I got in my car, got in rush-hour traffic, and two hours later, I was home." Dempsey confessed that his character's exit happened pretty quickly, and he didn't really have a say in it. Of course, he also lamented how much his character meant to his fans. "Shepherd is a beloved character. People don't want to lose him," he told the outlet. "He's been in their lives for over 10 years."
Since leaving the show, Dempsey has focused on other projects. He also shares updates from time to time with his 6.6 million-plus followers on Instagram. Dempsey's kids and family life appear to be a big part of his life after the "Grey's" stint. While he has had some ups and downs with his wife, Jillian Fink, one thing has remained constant— their three kiddos.
Patrick Dempsey's daughter is stunning
Patrick Dempsey and his wife, Jillian Fink, passed on their good looks to their kiddos. Their only daughter, Talula Dempsey, who is the spitting image of her mother, makes appearances on the former "Grey's Anatomy" star's Instagram page from time to time, especially when celebrations are in order. On February 20, 2022, Patrick posted a black and white filtered shot of his daughter on Instagram with a simple caption to celebrate. "Happy Birthday!!! Can't believe you're 20! Love you Tee!" he wrote on the post. Many fans flocked to the comments section to gush over his daughter. "Tee, she is so beautiful," one Instagram user wrote. "Happy 20th birthday! She's so beautiful," another Instagram user wrote. "Happy Birthday to a beautiful young lady," a third Instagram user added. Talula also boasts 12,000-plus followers on her own Instagram account.
Patrick also loves to talk about his only daughter in interviews when the opportunity arises. In a 2020 interview with People, the actor spoke about what the future may hold for Talula — and it doesn't seem like she will follow in her pop's footsteps. "Talula loves cooking," Patrick told the outlet. "She's incredibly creative." The star also talked about Talula's transition over the years and how much has changed. "You go from a baby girl walking around in dresses to junior high and then high school," he explained. "It's a big transition. You have to weather the storm!"
And we can't forget Patrick's twin boys, Darby and Sullivan!
Patrick Dempsey also has twin sons
It's no secret that Patrick Dempsey is a doting dad. While he loves to talk about his daughter, he also loves to gush over his twin sons. Like Talula, the boys make appearances on Patrick's Instagram grid from time to time. On February 1, 2021, Patrick shared a throwback photo via Instagram of the boys to celebrate their 14th birthday. "I can't believe they are 14!" he wrote.
Patrick also talks about the twin boys in interviews on occasion, once again proving his role as a father is incredibly important to him. Although his kids have a big Hollywood star as their father, they are pretty much like any other kid at the end of the day. "Oh yeah, they make fun of me," Patrick told Entertainment Tonight in 2019, adding that the kids don't take him "too seriously." He said, "I mean, I'm just Dad, so... either you're 'Cool Dad' or not. It depends on where they're at in their development and age."
Patrick also talked about the twins during a 2020 episode of "Ellen" when he shared an update on how the kids were doing amid the COVID-19 pandemic. "It's really hard because at this point, certainly at their age, the socialization's so important," he said, adding that the twins were having a tough time doing everything over Zoom instead of in the classroom. See? Stars are just like us!
