Are Porsha Williams And Phaedra Parks Still Friends?
It's no secret that all the "Real Housewives" franchises bring the drama — and plenty of catfights. "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" has to be up there for some of the biggest blow-ups between its cast members though, with Porsha Williams in particular ruffling quite a few feather since she joined the cast of the Bravo hit for Season 5 back in 2012. Williams found drama with pretty much all of her co-stars at one point or another, with one of her most notable being a showdown with Kenya Moore.
Seriously, how on earth could we forget that notorious physical fight at the Season 5 reunion? Williams famously pulled Moore's hair and dragged her to the floor as the other women looked on in horror as what can only be described as an all out brawl transpired, while host Andy Cohen attempted to pull the two women apart. Though there was some talk about if Williams would be fired over the fight, though she stuck around until Season 13.
But it's not that drama we're taking a look at today. In another of Williams' co-star feuds, we're throwing it back to her drama with Phaedra Parks, who said no more to the "RHOA" cameras in Season 9. The four seasons the two crossed paths made for plenty of drama though, and the two famously fell out as the cameras rolled. But where do they stand today?
Porsha Williams and Phaedra Parks still talk
As reality TV fans will likely remember, Porsha Williams and Phaedra Parks fell out after the latter spoke to the former about a rumor she heard about her, which also involved Kandi Burruss. The speculation consisted of unfounded claims Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker, supposedly wants to drug and take advantage of Williams, per Bravo, with Williams later claiming she first heard the allegations from Parks. That made for some serious tears during the Season 9 "Real Housewives of Atlanta" reunion in 2017, with Williams even confronting Parks backstage as the cameras rolled.
Parks left the show after that, with TMZ claiming she was let go as a direct result of the rumor, which meant fans didn't really get to see things play out much more on TV — though we do know where the two stand today. Speaking on "Watch What Happens Live" in 2020, Williams opened up about their relationship, stating, "I've gotten an apology at the reunion, and then shortly after that we chatted for a bit [and] I got an apology. But we haven't had a full conversation about the situation. I think just over time, we've let it go." She added that they do still talk sometimes, but haven't yet had a big sit down to discuss everything that went down.
How Phaedra Parks feels about Porsha Williams
It seems like the feeling of letting bygones be bygones is a mutual one when it comes to Porsha Williams and Phaedra Parks, as Parks has also spoken out about how much she really stays in contact with her former co-star. Speaking on "Watch What Happens Live" in July, Parks was asked if she's still in touch with Williams and responded, "Yeah, actually, I talk to her. You know she's getting married [to Simon Guobadia]. Congratulations, Porsha. So we don't talk a lot lot, but we definitely keep in touch."
That came around a year after she reacted to Williams and Kandi Burruss rekindling their friendship following the drama. During an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live" (where else?) in May 2021, Parks admitted she wasn't surprised in the slightest to see the two were friends again, and also revealed if she could ever see herself being pally with Xscape singer Burrus again. "We're both two very strong, powerful black women. You know as a mom — we're both moms — I teach my kids that they can resolve anything, and so I will never say no. Resolution is possible in every scenario," she teased.
