John Stamos Has Special Memories Of Elizabeth Olsen On The Full House Set
Actor John Stamos has shared memorable moments with several of his famous co-stars over the years. This includes the celebs he acted with in one of his most famous shows, "Full House." For instance, Stamos posted an Instagram photo on June 16 that showed a 2004 photo of him smiling with Ashley Olsen and the late Bob Saget. At the time, Stamos had rented a beach house and received "some cheering up" from his famous friends during a time when he needed this most. "I love this picture so much. A moment in time. A surge of happiness. Unfiltered joy. Pure and real," Stamos wrote. "We were blooming! ... What a lucky man I am!"
In 2016, Stamos posted a sweet throwback clip of himself with both Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in 1989. The three embraced in the video, which was taken as the "Full house" cast was filming in Hawaii. Stamos showed another past photo of himself with Mary-Kate and Ashley via Instagram in May while revealing a hilarious story about his son. "In honor of my son, whom, at dinner tonight when I asked him to sit down and finish his food, he replied (in a bit of a mocking tone), 'You got it, dude!'" Stamos wrote. But, in addition to Mary-Kate and Ashley, Stamos spent time with another famous Olsen during his "Full House" days.
John Stamos recalls Elizabeth Olsen 'wandering the set' of Full House
John Stamos has reflected on fun memories of seeing Elizabeth Olsen on the set of "Full House." In March 2021, Stamos shared a throwback photo of himself and a young Elizabeth, who's the younger sibling of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, behind the scenes of the hit series. Stamos also celebrated Elizabeth's lead role in the Marvel series "WandaVision" while promoting his Disney+ show, "Big Shot." "One day she's a little girl wandering the set, and next thing you know, she's taking over a whole town, mindcontrolling the citizens to play out her favorite TV Sitcoms!" Stamos wrote. "They grow up so fast."
Fans were quick to send positive comments on the cute photo, as one user wrote, "Glad you were very close to Elizabeth like you were with Mary-Kate and Ashley aka Michelle!" Another added, "This is just the most amazing post. Love it!!" In an E! News interview from 2021, Stamos explained how he still "remember[s] [Elizabeth] coming down to set," as he acted with Mary-Kate and Ashley. He then expressed his admiration of Elizabeth, as well as her siblings and other "Full House" co-stars. "It is stunning to see the twins, all they've accomplished, and their empire that they've built. And to see [Elizabeth], it's beautiful," Stamos said. "I look at Candace [Cameron Bure] and Jodie [Sweetin], and I'm so proud of all of them."
Elizabeth Olsen was asked to join the cast of Fuller House
John Stamos has revealed that Elizabeth Olsen was once asked to play a major role in "Fuller House." Following Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's decision to not appear in the "Full House" reboot, the crew was left trying to figure out how to incorporate the character Michelle Tanner into the plot of the Netflix series. In a 2016 interview on SiriusXM with media personality Andy Cohen, Stamos explained how this led to the idea of having Elizabeth play Michelle. The "Wind River" star ended up declining this offer, however. "I didn't do it, I think ['Full House' creator] Jeff Franklin did," Stamos said. "I said, 'Call [Elizabeth Olsen]. Ask [her].'...We talked to her agent and her agent was like, 'Come on, she's not going to do that,' but we did call her agent."
In the past, Elizabeth has spoken about her recollections of being on the set of the fan-favorite '90s sitcom. She told SiriusXM in 2021 that she doesn't possess "too many specific memories" since she was only 6 when filming of the show wrapped. The performer did, however, state on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" in 2013 that Stamos was her "first crush." Though the Olsens, Stamos, and other "Full House" stars haven't collaborated yet, hopefully one day they'll be able to reunite!
