Ciara To Join Ryan Seacrest, Jenny McCarthy As Co-Host Of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2018
Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy will ring in the New Year with a brand new co-host.
According to an Us Weekly exclusive, published on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, the veteran co-hosts will return to Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2018 with Ciara. The hosting gig will mark the singer's first appearance on the show since performing her hit songs "Goodies" and "1, 2 Step" in 2005.
"When I performed on this show back in 2005, I was so young and it was so special and exciting to be part of such an iconic show," Ciara, 32, said in a statement. "Over 10 years later, it's a really great feeling to say I've had the opportunity to host and perform on the show and I can't wait to ring in the New Year with the world."
Ciara, who welcomed her second child earlier this year, will cover the West Coast broadcast in Hollywood. Meanwhile, Seacrest, 42, will host from Times Square in New York City, with McCarthy, 45, reporting from the crowd.
"We are excited to have Ryan and Jenny back in Times Square and are thrilled to welcome Ciara to the New Year's Rockin' Eve family as our west coast host!" Mark Bracco, the co-executive producer and executive vice president of programming and development of Dick Clark Productions, said in a statement. "An American tradition for 46 years, we look forward to an incredible night of entertainment, musical performances and New Year's Rockin' Eve celebrations that will unite the country from coast to coast."
