Carrie Underwood Goes Into Surgery After 'Hard Fall'
The "Before He Cheats" songstress recently took a trip to the hospital.
On Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, Carrie Underwood revealed to her over 7.9 million Twitter followers that she'd undergone surgery on her wrist, which she'd reportedly broken after a recent nasty fall. And, fortunately, the singer's doing just fine since the operation.
"I just wanted let everyone know that I'm doing great. Had surgery on my wrist yesterday & all went well...even though I'll be setting off airport metal detectors from now on," Underwood wrote. "I'm so thankful for the doctors, nurses, family & friends who've been taking such great care of me."
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Underwood took a "hard fall" on the steps outside her house on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017. The 34-year-old, who'd co-hosted the Country Music Awards with Brad Paisley two days earlier, suffered "multiple injuries including a broken wrist and some cuts and abrasions," as noted in a statement by her rep.
As a result, Underwood was forced to cancel her performance at Nashville's Country Rising benefit concert on Nov. 12.
Days after the accident, she took to Twitter to update her fans on her condition. "Thanks so much for all the well wishes everybody...I'll be alright...might just take some time," she tweeted. "Glad I've got the best hubby in the world to take care of me."
While we wait for another health update from Underwood, check out how she and her fellow country music stars looked on the 2017 AMAs red carpet.
