Selena Gomez To Take The Stage At 2017 American Music Awards
The 25-year-old has a major performance coming up.
E! News confirms that Selena Gomez will be performing at the 2017 American Music Awards. She'll be singing her brand new song "Wolves," which was released in collaboration with DJ Marshmello on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017.
Gomez has released a number of hit songs over the past year, including "Bad Liar" and "Fetish." However, she hasn't done much promoting due to a recent health scare. In a post on Instagram in September, she revealed that she was recovering from a kidney transplant as a result of her battle with lupus (via Nicki Swift).
"I'm very aware some of my fans had noticed I was laying low for part of the summer and questioning why I wasn't promoting my new music, which I was extremely proud of," Gomez wrote. "So I found out I needed to get a kidney transplant due to my Lupus and was recovering. It was what I needed to do for my overall health."
She continued, "I honestly look forward to sharing with you, soon my journey through these past several months as I have always wanted to do with you. Until then I want to publicly thank my family and incredible team of doctors for everything they have done for me prior to and post-surgery."
The American Music Awards will air live from Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater on Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
