Straight Outta Compton Actor R. Marcos Taylor Charged With Assault
R. Marcos Taylor may be in some serious trouble.
According to TMZ, an argument between the Straight Outta Compton actor and the manager of Carrabba's Italian Grill in Green Brook, N.J. allegedly turned violent on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017. After their supposed tiff escalated, Taylor, who played Suge Knight in the 2015 film, reportedly punched the man "several times in the face."
Afterward, the actor was reportedly dragged out of the restaurant by several employees, and during the resulting scuffle, he apparently punched a woman in the head. As the gossip site further reported, Taylor has been charged with four counts of assault, as well as one count of criminal mischief and one cound of disorderly conduct.
When TMZ reached out to Taylor for comment, both he and his attorney claimed that the actor had acted in self-defense after "he got jumped that night in the parking lot."
Once news of the incident broke on Wednesday, Aug. 23, the Luke Cage stunt performer took to Instagram to address the alleged restaurant assault — and he has maintained his innocence. Taylor simply wrote in the photo's caption, "Don't believe everything you read #thatismyjudgement."
