Aisha Tyler Says Goodbye To The Talk
We'll miss you, Aisha Tyler!
The Talk co-host has officially left her position at the talk show's round table. After being on the show for six seasons, the busy celeb said goodbye to cast, crew, and fans on Friday, Aug. 4, 2017.
"The treasure of this show is my friendships with you guys, and that is something that I could never have expected when I walked in the door here," she said, speaking to her fellow co-hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, and Sheryl Underwood. "I knew that this could have been a home, but I never imagined in a million years that it would be this magical of a place."
Trying not to cry, the 46-year-old continued, "The thing I'll take with me from this show is how all of you made me, every day, want to be a better woman and a better friend and a better person... you four made me brave."
She joked, "You only have yourselves to blame for me leaving this show."
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Tyler decided to exit The Talk to focus on her other projects. In addition to her gig voicing a character on the animated series Archer, she's also a series regular on Criminal Minds and an aspiring director. In fact, she recently directed her very first film, Axis, which earned her an Outstanding Achievement in Filmmaking award at the 2017 Newport Beach Film Festival.
We wish you well, Tyler. Hope you stop by The Talk sometime soon!
