Linkin Park Cancels Tour Following Singer Chester Bennington's Death

Linkin Park has cancelled their One More Light North American tour after their bandmate Chester Bennington's recent suicide.

In a statement obtained by Entertainment Tonight, Live Nation addressed the recent news, stating, "We are incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Chester Bennington. The Linkin Park One More Light North American Tour has been canceled and refunds are available at point of purchase. Our thoughts go out to all those affected."

As Nicki Swift previously reported, Bennington was found dead on Thursday, July 20, 2017. He reportedly committed suicide by hanging. Details later revealed that his death was similar to that of his friend Chris Cornell, who committed suicide months earlier. Bennington was just 41 years old.

At the time of writing, Linkin Park, who released a brand new video for their song "Talking to Myself" the same day Bennington's body was discovered, has yet to make a statement regarding Bennington's passing. However, Bennington's bandmates have individually reacted to the news of his death on social media.

Mike Shinoda wrote, "Shocked and heartbroken, but it's true. An official statement will come out as soon as we have one."

Dave Farrell tweeted, "Heartbroken."
