Linkin Park's Chester Bennington Reportedly Made Plans Before Committing Suicide
The death of Linkin Park's lead singer took everyone by surprise—especially his bandmates.
TMZ reports that Chester Bennington had made plans before allegedly committing suicide. Sources told the celeb news site that one of Bennington's bandmates drove to the singer's house—apparently not knowing that his body had been discovered—to pick him up for a photoshoot in Hollywood. The bandmate, who remains unknown at this time, was "absolutely shocked" to hear the news of Bennington's passing.
Bennington had just returned home to Los Angeles with his wife after spending time in Arizona on Wednesday, July 19, 2017.
Linkin Park was scheduled to leave for tour just a week later.
As Nicki Swift previously reported, Bennington's body was found around 9 a.m. PT on Thursday, July 20. TMZ adds that he was discovered by a housekeeper in his bedroom. He reportedly committed suicide by hanging in his Palos Verdes Estates home. Bennington was 41 years old.
