Ariana Grande Confirms Date, Star-Studded Lineup For Manchester Benefit Concert
Ariana Grande will perform a special benefit concert in Manchester, England on June 4, 2017 to raise money for the victims who died in the terrorist attack at her May 22nd concert, Page Six has confirmed.
The concert will reportedly take place at the Trafford cricket ground, and feature special appearances by Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams, and more.
Page Six adds that proceeds "will go to an emergency fund set up by the city of Manchester and the British Red Cross."
Grande first confirmed the benefit concert in a lengthy message posted to Twitter on Friday, May 26, 2017.
"We won't let this divide us," the statement read. "We won't let hate win. Our response to this violence must be to come closer together, to help each other, to love more, to sing louder and to live more kindly and generously than we did before."
Twenty-two people died in the attack, which occurred just as Grande's concert at the Manchester Arena had wrapped. An additional 59 were injured. Following the terrorist attack, Grande tweeted that she was "broken."
"From the bottom of my heart, I am so so sorry," she wrote. "I don't have words." She later returned to Florida to be with family and suspended her "Dangerous Woman" world tour.
