James Corden To Host 2018 Grammys
James Corden will host the 2018 Grammy Awards, the Recording Academy confirmed on Wednesday, May 17, 2017.
Corden hosted the 2017 ceremony, which drew in 26 million viewers—up from the previous two years, according to Billboard. The previous five ceremonies had been hosted by rapper-actor LL Cool J.
The 60th annual Grammy Awards will air Sunday, January 28, 2017 on CBS. The event is being held in New York City at Madison Square Garden for the first time since 2003.
Corden's return to the Grammys stage marks a bit of an awards-show trend coming out of Hollywood. Just this week: ABC announced early that Jimmy Kimmel will return as host of the 90th annual Academy Awards, marking the first time someone has hosted back-to-back since the 1990s.
Best of luck, James! Oh, and please: no more "Sweet Caroline."
