Serena Williams Pens Sweet Message To Future Child

It couldn't be more official—Serena Williams is going to be a mom!

The tennis champ took to Instagram on April 24, 2017 to share a photo of her baby bump on the beach. Along with the stunning picture, she posted a heartfelt note addressed to her future child. "My Dearest Baby," Williams, who's engaged to Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, wrote. "You gave me the strength I didn't know I had. You taught me the true meaning of serenity and peace. I can't wait to meet you."

"I can't wait for you to join the players box next year. But most importantly, I am so happy to share being number one in the world with you.... once again today. On @alexisohanian bday," she continued, "from the world's oldest number one to the world's youngest number one. -Your Mommy."

Williams, 35, announced her pregnancy on Snapchat on April 19, 2017, showing off her growing belly in a bright yellow swimsuit and writing, "20 weeks." However, Williams soon deleted the Snap, leaving fans to wonder if the news was true. Luckily, just one day later, a representative for Williams confirmed the good news, stating, "I'm happy to confirm Serena is expecting a baby this fall."

Her rep also said that Williams would take time off after giving birth to her child but would return to the world of professional tennis in 2018.

In recent Instagram photos, it looks like that Williams and Ohanian, 34, are spending some quality time on a beach vacation together—perhaps celebrating their babymoon?
