Jon Gosselin To Make Debut As Stripper In Atlantic City Nightclub
Former Jon & Kate Plus Eight (2007-) star Jon Gosselin is taking on a whole new career–as a stripper in an Atlantic City, N.J. nightclub.
USA Today reports that Gosselin will perform at Dusk Nightclub in their show "Untamed Male Revue" on April 1, 2017. And while that's April Fool's Day, Gosselin's latest venture doesn't appear to be a joke.
Dusk Nightclub owner Eric Millstein confirmed Gosselin's appearance in his show, where "male entertainers" strip down to their underwear.
"He's been rehearsing with [our performers], doing everything that it takes to make sure that he participates in the fun kind of way that's entertaining for everybody," Millstein stated, "and he's excited about it and so are we we're happy to have him."
Millstein also explained that Gosselin's performance will be "classy" and similar to the style of Magic Mike (2012).
News of Gosselin's stripping gig was first announced on the former reality star's social media. On Twitter, the father of eight wrote, "No plans next weekend? Check it out, my big debut...? AC, Caesars, Dusk, untamed, Saturday April 1st!"
Gosselin, who also deejays at Dusk Nightclub, spoke with Entertainment Tonight about his upcoming performance, which just so happens to be on his 40th birthday. "I'm an integral part of the show," he said. "Being part of something is a blessing. Since I joined Senate DJ I've felt like I belong to something and I'm not just out there on my own–I feel as if I'm part of a fraternity or brotherhood."
We're glad that Gosselin, who dropped 25 pounds for his new gig, feels a part of a larger group, but we have to wonder what his ex-wife Kate Gosselin and their eight children have to say about his latest career move. According to Page Six, Gosselin has told his children about his April performance and they're reportedly fine with it. "My kids know everything that's gonna go on," the former T.G.I.Friday chef explained. "I cleared it with them before I did anything... told them the whole marketing plan. They're teenagers now. They understand this stuff."
Still, we bet Kate's not happy.
