Whatever Happened To Ronnie And Sammi After The Jersey Shore?
From 2009-2012, the cast members of MTV's Jersey Shore descended on their share houses in Seaside, Miami and Florence, Italy in a flurry of alcohol and bronzer. At the center of the reality show's drama was the relationship between cast mates Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro.
The two hooked up in season one, after Giancola rebuffed the advances of Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino in favor of Magro. Their relationship was immediately tumultuous — there was crying and fighting all season long, although they did leave the shore as a couple at the end of the season. Throughout the rest of the show, their relationship was filled with tons of drama, lots of breakups, and just as many makeups, but they left the shore together in the show's December 2012 series finale. Here's what happened next.

They returned to reality TV
In 2012, Giancola and Magro, then living together, appeared on an episode of the show's spin-off, Snooki and JWoww, during which Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Giancola had a summit about the state of the SamRon relationship.
"Lately it's been, knock on wood, really good," said Giancola, while the two hung out at one of their former Seaside haunts. When Polizzi asked Giancola if she'd be getting engaged and having a baby like her castmates, Giancola clarified that she wasn't interested in that yet, referring to herself as "too selfish." In an interview later in the episode, Polizzi referred to Giancola and Magro as a "grown couple."
They broke up again
In spite of Giancola's "knock on wood," she and Magro broke up in 2014. Magro told People in August of that year that the two had been "drifting apart and not really spending any time together." After watching the two fight and reconcile constantly for six seasons, it was hard to believe that it was really over, especially since Magro also stated that he still cared for Giancola, who told E! News that post break-up, she was focusing on herself.
They were seen together, but not "together"
In October 2015, Giancola posted a picture of herself and Jersey Shore castmates Deena Cortese, Pauly DelVecchio, Vinny Guadagnino, and Magro at Jenni Farley's wedding to Roger Matthews. While both Giancola and Magro were in the picture, they weren't standing next to each other and didn't seem to be touching.
They probably got back together
True to form, according to their reps, the couple reunited in 2016, and traveled to Mexico and Italy together. Although both still have pictures from each trip on their Instagrams, none exist of the two together. Giancola also posted a (now missing) picture of herself and Magro at her 29th birthday party.
Sammi's out of reality tv...for now
Giancola recently celebrated her 30th birthday with former members of the Jersey Shore cast, but it seems like that's as far as she's going to get to the reality TV world for the time being. She started her clothing line, Sweetheart Styles, in 2013, after co-hosting the Just Sayin' podcast with TV host Clare Galterio and Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member and relationship expert Siggy Flicker.
Giancola and Galterio also appeared on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live as bartenders in July 2016, fueling rumors that Giancola would be reviving her reality career on the Real Housewives of New Jersey.
Ronnie moved on
As of December 2016, Magro was dating Malika Haqq, Khloe Kardashian's best friend, after the two met while filming Famously Single, E! TV's reality show which follows celebrities who have previously been challenged in the relationship department. (Magro's Jersey Shore co-star, Pauly DelVecchio, appeared on the first season of the show and promptly hooked up with Aubrey O'Day.)
In February 2017, US Weekly reported that Magro and Haqq are now broken up. Does that mean the door is opened for a SamRon reunion? Stranger things have happened.
