Brad Pitt Devastated That He Rarely Sees Kids
Brad Pitt is devastated that he's only seen his kids six times within three months since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce. A source told Us Weekly, "He's crushed. He wants to limit the fighting. Brad has been deferential on what's best for them and limits their stress," the insider added, which is why Pitt, 52, hasn't forced any reunions beyond what he's had so far. "You don't just immediately create a new world."
A source close to Jolie contends, "The kids didn't warm up to him."
An insider told People, "The last few weeks have been tough for Brad. He has been very unhappy with the arrangement to see his kids. Brad doesn't want supervised visits. He loves his kids and wants to spend more time with them."
Pitt may see his visitation extended—or joint custody reached—soon. As Nicki Swift previously reported, Jolie, 41, maintains sole physical custody of Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8, but that may change. The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services cleared Pitt of child abuse allegations after exhaustive investigations found no evidence of abuse during an in-flight argument with Maddox nor any pattern of abusive behavior.
When Pitt was cleared of the DCFS charges, Jolie's rep told TMZ, "Angelina said from the beginning that she felt she had to take action for the health of the family and is relieved that after their 8-week involvement, the DCFS is now satisfied the safeguards are put in place that will allow the children to heal." Sources close to Jolie, 41, claimed the Oscar winner "feels the kids would be at risk if Brad gets joint custody, and if he doesn't drop his claim she'll present evidence to the divorce judge that Brad has committed abuse."
The FBI, who previously interrogated Jolie about the case, is still reportedly investigating the incident on the flight.
